I am really interested in the drinks that are 'endemic' to your home town, which taste delicious..

Jazkoum Allah khyran

:w:

Ooh, my parents drink that, I love its color.

In Syria we have a drink called 'sharab al loz', which literally translates to 'the almond drink'; I absolutely love it.

Here's a blog post that describes it, and how to make it, if anyone is interested. (click the photo)

Oh, I just saw your post in the other thread; sa7lab!! Ramadan drink indeed. Last Ramadan, every day on the walk home from taraweeh, there was a man selling sa7lab right outside the masjid, I'd occasionally buy some... Ahh, good times.

Pickings are pretty slim in the UK. On the other hand, you can find these cartons of fruity goodness down the supermarket. Once upon a time, the most exotic fruit in the whole of the British Isles were bananas.

I wonder if any countries consider potatoes exotic vegetables…

Gooseberry fool hmm mmm. not in the Mr T sense tho

My favorite cold drink comes from the most delicious fruit Allah ever created (Mango)

but be careful... not all Mangos the same...

I tried the Brazilian and found it not tasty at all.....

The Egyptian Mango is the most delicious all over the world(lots of testimonies about that) and the indian pakistani too.........

My favorite hot drink is Sahlab !.....:)
