Somehow women don't seem to resort to physical violence.

Hmm.. "raises eyebrows" :D .. do you remember Margaret Thatcher? Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton are not exactly peace-loving women either. Women can be just as violent and psychopathic as men are. That was a very very tall claim you made ;)

EDIT: I should also mention that I truly felt offended as a non-violent and peace-loving man :D

Apologies for using such crude gender stereotypes, Argamemnon. You are right to correct me. :embarrass

I simply haven't seen any pictures of Egyptian women engaging in physical violence or fighting ...

actually that niqabi sister who is carrying rocks (see page 1) has the intention to do just that ...
Egyptian women are known for their feisty, fiery spirits and passion for what they believe is right and if you ask them they're indeed willing to die for it...

wonderful.. thank you for sharing.. I am very worried about the outcome.. I feel like it might fizzle or get worst with tougher crackdown on citizens as to never let this happen again.. already the kid who started this along with a few others have not been seen or heard from...imsad

I'm truly confident that this movement or awakening can't be suppressed completely, it broke the threshold in that eventful Wednesday. It makes sense now, that we indeed begin to truly live when we have conquered fear(of death). no matter the outcome, those who participated in these events and those who witnessed them, will forever be changed by these events. I'm very much optimistic, the hardships are certainly not over yet, but I'm optimistic the People will persevere as long as necessary for the Nasr of Allah to come.

"So do not become weak, nor be sad..." (Qur'an 3:139)
"And grieve not over them, and be not distressed because of what they plot." (Qur'an 16:127)
"And put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed..." (Qur'an 5:23)
"No calamity befalls on earth or in yourselves but is inscribed in the Book of Decrees –
before We bring it into existence." (Qur'an 57:22)
"O you who believe! Seek help in patience and the prayer..." (Qur'an 2:153)
"Verily, with hardship there is relief" (Qur'an 94:6)

Thank you.. Jazaka Allah khyran.. truly you comforted me with your words and quoting the Quran and may Allah swt reward you for that..

Look carefully where these brothers are sitting...

They are risking their lives by sitting in the tank tracks, so as to immobilise the tank... May Allah protect them, ameen.

No need to apologize :) there is some truth to what you said because fighting during demonstrations usually occurs between men, that's true. But I think God programmed men to be soldiers, however, aggression is always unwanted and should always be the very last resort and avoided as much as possible.

Peace :)
