Posting pictures

Can somebody talk me through how to post pictures here (either as a picture in the post or as an attachment), which are saved on my computer?
I am sure I have done it before, but somehow I don't seem to be able to ... :?

If the picture is on the web then right click..go to properties...copy the html then paste them into [ i m g ] url [ / i m g ] tags (without the spaces)

It's not on the web. I think that's the problem.
The pictures in question are my own and are saved on my computer ...

Posting Pictures 101

1. Up load the desired picture to your image host. (ie: Image shack, photobucket, ranchoweb, boomspeed, etc)
