yes, mustafa- you're right - i do believe in the oneness of god.

so at the least, confirm your belief with the first part of the Shahada:

Ashadu-Anla-Illaha-Ilallah which equals: i testify that no god is god but Allah!

apparently, even though i quit smoking 24 years ago, it wasn't early enough.

now see if your were a Muslim, all your pain and suffering would be purification which covers your sins and raises you in rank!

If i already was a doctor i would let u go in for free, and first, and do whatever i can to take away whatever it is illness you have. Just because ur soo soo kind :)

Snakelegs, I sense that a lot of the Muslims on this forum have a strong affection for you. For me, Brother Yusuf Noor has put it best. We pray for the best for you in this life and in the Hereafter. We pray for your health and guidance. I hope that you understand our efforts at dawah. For illustration sake Prophet Muhammad (saaws) tried to get his Uncle Abu Talib who he loved and had protected him to say the shahada before it was too late. I was sincerely glad to see you say "i do believe in the oneness of god".

What prevents you from taking up religion then:? Please, if you do believe in Islam then don't kid yourself and say you don't, because as you probably know, Muslims believe that when you die that's it - there's no going back.

Anyway, keep us updated too insha'Allah. You seem to be quite popular here masha'Allah :thumbs_up!
 
just reading through all your posts made me feel better.
i realize that some of you believe that it is only permissible to pray for guidance for a non-muslim - that's perfectly ok by me. prayer is prayer and it's all good.
i know some here wonder why i don't become a muslim since i believe in the one god. as yusuf has said, i believe in god - it's religion i have a problem with. (any).
i can't see myself joining any religion, and if i were to do so, i would have to be able to accept it 100% and i am not a 100% type.
but who knows, what's meant to be?
it's a dark time, that's for sure.
