He has TB and is ill in hospital coughing up blood..

In my religion, Jesus told us that prayer changes everything. I shall pray for your father in law indeed.

6And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.

(Luke 18:6-7)

If you cry out day and night to God with your pleas, He will indeed be quick enough and just enough to help you and your father in law God willing.
