which verse? 4:34? wrong! Not this verse but a lie (and/or mistranslation which followed the lie) against Quran says itIn the verse it says that men are allowed to “hit” their wives in order to discipline them.
As far as the hitting goes, I think people should get more familiar with what it means to discipline someone Islamically, as shown in doorsters post. It isn't meant to hurt someone physically (punch/slap/roundhouse kick to the face/etc.).from the brothers, I want to know- what if it were the other way around and the girl had the authority to hit you? What affect would that have on you?
