queries about wudhu and the quran

this question is mostly directly to sisters:

When you are on your menses are you allowed to touch and read the Quran?


Until recently i thought you were not allowed to touch the Quran as in my family i've been brought up to be told that it is not permissible to touch the Quran without wudhu. So in essence you are on your menses and you have no wudhu does that mean you are not allowed to touch the Quran. ]
I only want confirmation that i am right because a friend of mine told me that we are allowed to touch and now i'm really worried

As far as I am aware you are NOT allowed to touch the Qu'ran

Not supposed to touch the Quran when u are having menses & even if you have done wudhu.
