Question about nudity

I wanted to know what the rules are regarding nudity because I go to gym regularly and play in a soccer team and in both regards I shower afterwards and change in the changing rooms.

Someone recently told me that what I was doing was haram (even though everyone there are men) so I wanted to find out.
 
A man's awrah in front of everyone but his wife is from the navel to the knees, it should be covered at all times, even in front of your brothers, friends, etc.

Are there no private showers you could use, ones with a door?

edit-Oh, also, in addition to your awrah being covered, you shouldn't look at the awrah of anyone else.

Bro, as the sis below said, you have to cover from your knees to your belly...

So...unfortunately...you must stop going to the gym and playing soccer...every ounce of weight you put on will bear witness to your piety in the hereafter.

Man, I crack myself up. No...bro, c'mon..you can find your quirky little way around this. You can:

1. Pretend you are in a hurry all the time...go home and shower there.

2. Wear shorts, who cares what others think...if they pick on you...just abuse their masculinity and question why they want to see you nude.

3. Look for a shower with a door? A disabled toilet maybe?

4. Wait for people to go home.

5.Get a friend to hold up a towel for you? When I was about 6 (nawww) we used to do that with my muslim friend at swimming lessons. Yeah, I know it's not cute at your current age...but you might be able to get away with it for a few weeks...just be discreet :P

Rotate these reasons on a weekly basis...no one will catch your drift for a while :P

ORRRRRRR......you could just tell people you don't think it's right and that you are trying to establish a non-nude principle into your life...you know..most guys are probably insecure about this...and maybe they just pretend to not care...coz guys like doing that...so maybe voice your idea..and you may have some support from your team-mates...etc etc etc.

But yeah...as for the gym...just shower at home?

I play on a soccer team and shower at home,aswell. Buy we don't have showers so.
