i wuz wondering. christians in africa say that jesus was black, christians in europe say that he was white, christians in middle eastern say he was middle eastern, christians in asia say he was asian, christians in latin america say that he was a latin.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_of_Jesus

why are christians so divided about this??? and if jesus (as) was a prophet, would there have been white supremacist groups or black supremacist groups?

LOL...this article says "it is most commonly argued that Jesus was probably of Middle Eastern descent". there were silly people in XIX that because of raciel prejudice claimed He wasn't Jew.
The other thing is the way He is presented in art. And here you are right, in europe He may be portrayed as white, in Africa as black, in Asia as Asian. People are used to their canon of presenting people in art, and they use it even for Him.
But is not a division for us!
In fact it is something similar to the question about "pogan rites" in christianity. We don't ask people to abandon their culture, as far as they know who they are worshiping and who is presented in a picture. Wheather black or white. It's not important.
