Question regarding 'new posts'

I click on new posts and look through new posts. I post in one of the threads and then i click new posts and i forgot oh i want to edit my last post but i cant find that thread in new posts section at all. why? once you posted they go away unless someone else post in them then they appear again.

Another problem is threads keep building up and building and now its like 10 pages. its too cluttry. other forums have three days threads build up then the next day fresh threads with new posts come up

or am i just being too that?

Two things for you.
1. Use the ALL READ link on top of the forum, to mark all threads as read and remove them from the threads with NEW POSTS search, once you are done checking them.

2. Use the TODAY's Posts link, instead of NEW POSTS one, from Quick links menu.
