Actually the word 'covanent' in Hebrew is "Brit"...
BLASPHEMY
- Not to curse one of the Hebrew names of G-d
- Not to curse even a nickname of G-d in any language (ibid 351a)
not to curse? like "g_d d**mned"?
Not sure to tell you the truth. I'm sorry. I can ask a rabbi if you would like.![]()
Yeah...kindly as a rabbi..thank you!!
Do Jews see Islam as a legit religion? I mean, do Jews hate Muslims because they belive Islam is false? Are Muslims guranteed hell according to Judaism?
I asked and he said yes. But if you do not mean it and you spit it out, then you are required to learn your lesson and focus on not letting it slip anymore.![]()
Although we do not follow this dictum, technically speaking, a girl can be betrothed the moment she is born, and married at the age of three (Shulchan Aruch, Even HaEzer 37:1). A boy can betroth and marry at the age of thirteen (Shulchan Aruch, Even HaEzer 43:1).
Perhaps at a certain time people were mature enough to marry earlier. The rabbis imposed their prohibition when they saw that this was no longer the case.

Talmud Kiddushin says that "it is forbidden for one to marry off his daughter until she is an adult and says 'this is the one I want to marry.'"
What you fail to mention is that without the girls consent she cannot be married therefore, a three year old cannot be married because she is not an adult under Jewish law. In technical terms marry at age 3 is not allowed but it doesn't say you can't do that... yet it Halakha would not allow it. For example: Just because someone doesn't tells you 'don't do that' doesn't mean its allowed. Marrying a 3 year old girl is not aloud in Judaism. It does not occur at all because even though it is not mentioned it is still unable to be Halakhacly right under Jewish law.
Earlier, is not 3 years old... Jews may have been set up for marriage but one can never be married until the women and man as adults consent. Therefore a three year Jewish girl could not be married.
Then why is even mentioned?
You must remember that a Jew is considered an adult responsible to follow Jewish law at 13 for Males and 12 for Females.
Wow. sounds young to be an adult? are they ready to be responsible like that?

therebbe said:What might have happend is an arranged marriage that two families agree on at an early age like at 3 and then whent he kids become adults the parents influence them by speaking so highly of the other child to consent.

2.) How come boys can marry at MUCH older age (13)??
So a 3 year old girl is an adult?
The daughter's consent is not required forthe kiddushin to take effect. The "husband" makes his transaction withthe father, and it is his consent which is required, even when the kiddushin is accomplished by sexual relations. (Shulchan Aruch, Even Haezer 37:1).
From what I understand, the girl can be engaged as soon as she is born, and is then married at age three to a much older man. Also, please differentiate between practice and law. The law says that the girl can be married at age three. But, as we all know the practice is different due to the impracticality.
So technically are Arba'ah Turim laws impractical?? A boy can marry at 13, while a girl at three. They are not adults (according to today's standards).
Then how come a female can technically be married at 3? Is it not true that 3 year olds were wedded to Jewish priests as sacrificial marriages? Do you believe in the idea of regenerating virginity?
What is with the inequality?
lavikor201 said:Can you please read the posts before making such an ignorant comment. A 3 year old girl is not an adult in Judaism.
Untrue. Under the Talmud, the women and mans consent are needed. Shulchan Aruch discusses this. In all cases, the Talmud specifies that a woman can be acquired only with her consent, and not without it (Kiddushin 2a-b).
A Jewish girl who is 3's parents can arrange for two people to marry when she becomes an adult, but she must Consent when she becomes an adult. It is illegal for her not to.
Please show me your source for that one... this ought to be good... lol.
How unequal! A Jewish boy can be married at age 13, and a Jewish girl at age 12. Again I have told you when a female becomes an adult and please tell me where your source for Shulchan Aruch is.
All of your questions seem to be from the site "Awnsering Christianity" a site very useless when you want facts. If you want real info, how aout reading the Talmud instead of reading Jewish Hate websites where they mistranslate and take verses out fo context. Most of the verse on that website they use are compeltly mistranslated.
Let me ask you... are you angry when someone mistraslates the Quran? Don't expect me to not be harsh if you bring mistranslated verses of Talmud into this.
Another thing to remember is that you cannot be married until you hit puberty also. You can be "arranged" before them which is kind of liek them
But technically, she can get married at age three:
technically speaking, a girl can be betrothed the moment she is born, and married at the age of three (Shulchan Aruch, Even HaEzer 37:1).
therebbe said that marriage is for adults. Jewish law states that a girl can get married as early as three years old. If a=b and b=c then a=c
So a three year old marries an old priest out of love??
First you cite the Talmud as saying that a woman can't marry until she is an "adult" and can choose her husband, then you go on to say that she can be offered for marriage at birth and be married by 3 years old. You need to explain why you hold differently from the Talmud in this respect.
Do you know what betrothed is???? Betrothed does not mean Married... A girl cannot get married until she is an adult and consents. If you are male and are betrothed with a girl, you cannot do anything but talk to her. In Judaism a male and female are not allowed alone together until marriage.
Show me the Jewish law that states this please with the link to the source. Thank you. Or are your sources from Rabbinical discussion and not Halacha (Jewish Law) because there is a big difference.
Please tell me where a three year old marries a priest? Show me where this is said.
Show me where I said a girl can marry at 3... I said she can be set up, but will not be married until she is an adult and approves.
