^^^ muslims write 786 to represent Bismillahi rahma niraheem

is still wrong though...but diaz off topic. -sorry

They say it adds up to some numerical value or something along the lines, but the point i was scratching at, most do it so they are not throwing Allahs name in the bin and so forth .

Probaly do, however i am personally not feeling like giving numerical value to revelation like so. I dont use 786 but at the same time respect some reasons as to why people use it.

Thats because you are children of Jacob, and Jacob is called Israel!, Israel was never a land - and never will be.

We never call ourselves "Children of Jacob" in prayer either. We also do not believe ourselves to be superior to any human so therefore, the person who has the nerve to post that FALSE post cannot provide a source.

then the tanakh must also be false right?

Gen 32:32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not [of] the sinew which shrank, which [is] upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.

Gen 36:31 And these [are] the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.

The wording in the Hebrew for Children of Israel in both of these verses is "ben Yisra'el" and the Qur'aans wording for children of Israel is "bani Israaa'el!" Now we both know who Israel really is - it is Prophet Jacob! Thats why the children of Jacob are rightfully called the children of Israel!

Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

and

Gen 35:10 And God said unto him, Thy name [is] Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.

Source or sauce?

That is what it says in the Torah. Now in prayers do Jews ask G-d to grant the children of Jacob anything. Not that I am aware of. The post suggested that Jews demand G-d give us things and call gentiles to be lower then us. The user who posted this has not come back, his comment was obviously false because I HAVE the book he was refering to!

Where in the Tanakh does it say that The "Children of Israel" are superior to gentiles?

When you said false post i thought it was in reference to mine. I apologize for that misunderstanding , i have to clarify that i was putting forth a thought provoking remark, because it seemed to me you was contradicting your own scripture.

I am in no knowledge about Jews demanding from G-d. Infact i can not find any Jewish supplications in the scripture.

It does not say that the Children of Israel are superior as far as my limited knowledge streches, however the Children of Israel was bestowed a responsability and a law which was not given unto other people. Accoring to the teachings of Judaism, a non Jew simply has to walk the way of righteousness to gain salvation, however that can imply universalism. The are alot of righteous pagans, there any many pagans that do good deeds! Islam emphasizes believe and good deeds again and again throughout the Qur'aan.

Yes. The Moshiach is the one to build it.

Do you agree with the actions of those that are trying to destroy whats ther now to start construction of their third temple?

People who are doing that are mostly led by Christian groups. Jews must wait for the Moshaich to come to do that. When the Moshiach comes, Muslims will peacefully hand over the temple mount, and encourage the Moshiach to build it. Maybe your belief is different, but that is irrelevant.

No , i have no quarrels with your answer. I am curious ,however, about the Christian groups that are causing this fighting. If you prefer to talk about this through the PM system please feel free to do so.

They may not cause fighting, but they definitely do have an agenda which involves the Jews and Jesus which would fufill the prophecies of there scriptures.

Whats the significance>?

A. The Western Wall, a.k.a. the Kotel (wall) or Wailing Wall, is the last remaining section of the Temple which sat atop Jerusalem's Mt. Moriah. It is the holiest active site in Judaism today, and has no connection, archaeological, spiritual or otherwise, to any other religion.

B. After the destruction of the Second Temple, G-d guaranteed the presence of the Shechinah in the Western Wall. The Wall is thus a gateway to Heaven, a place where history springs to life, a place where avowed atheists shed unexplainable tears, a place where the totality of Jewish identity finds expression, and a place where prayers are answered. Ultimately, it is a symbol of G-d, and of the Jewish People: both are eternal, and the Western Wall is the eternity of G-d and of the Jewish People written in stone.

C. Contrary to public opinion, the Western Wall is not an actual part of the Temple itself--it is a segment of a retaining wall that ran along the Temple's westernmost perimeter. Still, since this retaining wall was an integral part of the Temple compound, the ethereal sanctity of the Temple remains eternally embedded in its stones.

What do I do at the Western Wall?

1. Pray
An notoriously anti-religious official of the Israeli government expended much personal energy to retard the efforts of Rabbi Getz, the official rabbi of the Kotel, dismissing the Wall's holiness as bothersome, backwards fanaticism. When his daughter suddenly fell critically ill, though, his protestations dissipated like auto exhaust and he placed a frantic call for prayer to the good rabbi. Hopefully, you'll never need to pray for a critically ill loved one at the Wall, but you get the idea...

2. Celebrate
Hundreds if not thousands of Bar/Bat Mitzvahs are celebrated at the Wall each year. For the Wall--and the Temple Mount--belongs to all Jews and to no one else, and the joy of one is the joy of all.

3. Get Inspired
They destroyed the Temple. They tried to destroy The Wall. But they could not.

They destroyed our land. They tried to destroy us. But they could not.

The Wall survived.

We survived.

We were banished. Exiled. Raped. Murdered. Plundered. Massacred. In every country. In every time. But we lived on.

It was covered. Ignored. Disgraced. Attacked. Buried. By many civilizations.

Many times. But The Wall lived on.

Finally, we came home.

We had not forgotten The Wall.

The Wall was waiting.

And The Wall had not forgotten us.
