QUIZ: How much SUNNAH do U KNOW?!?!?

ass salaamu alaykum,

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

ukhtiy, you forgotten how to fast and multi-task huh....running from the maktabah to the mazr3ah ...going to the duroos on empty stomach...ey...
rushing back home to prepare iftaar....:heated:
i should come over there and give you a good spankin' :p just kiddin!!

No it's not that I forgot how to fast and multitask at the same time, it was just that on that particular day I hadn't had much sahur.....just a tiny bite of bagel and a few sips of water........I just had no appetite :heated:
But if I was back in Dammaj man.......I'm sure that nothing could have put me off going to the duroos!! :'(

...ya laytaniiy uhaarishuki 3alaa al-mudarisaat ey??..loooool!!

Yeah, I and you'd spank the pants offa me innit :'( ;D

have anice iftaar sis...are your mum's cinnamon rolls on the menu

No she didn't make cinnamon rolls......I can't beleive you still remember them from Dammaj! But I'm making cinnamon rolls this saturday with a few sisters here insha'allah....they want to learn....I'm the pro in baking now remember, not my mom anymore :D

So anyway back to the topic.......About the Hijrah of a woman yeah.......hmmmm....

Well actually I dont know any specific Hadeeth which says that a woman can travel by herself for the sake of Hijrah, but I just know the Aqwaal of the Ulama....
And also there is the Hadeeth from the Nabi 3alayhissalam " Ana Baree2 min Kulli Muslim sakan bayna Adhhur alkuffar...." (Bil Ma3naa) " I have cut off ties with every Muslim who makes his home amongst the Kuffar "

So since the matter is so heavy like this, and since it is waajib for a Muslim to make Hijrah from a land in which he cannot practise his Deen.......this applies to both Woman and men Innit....So I guess she has to take every measure to save her Deen. And this is why the Rukhsah came for her Wallahu A3lam.

I have a Quote here from Al-Qaadhi 3iyaadh:

‏وقد قال القاضي : واتفق العلماء على أنه ليس لها أن تخرج في غير الحج والعمرة إلا مع ذي محرم إلا الهجرة من دار الحرب , فاتفقوا على أن عليها أن تهاجر منها إلى دار الإسلام وإن لم يكن معها محرم , والفرق بينهما أن إقامتها في دار الكفر حرام إذا لم تستطع إظهار الدين , وتخشى على دينها ونفسها

Al-Qaadhi Says : "And the Ulama have agreed that it is not for a woman to Travel for other than Hajj and Umrah except with a Mahram, Except in the cases of Hijrah from Daar al-Harb (land of the Kuffar) . So they have agreed that it is upon her to perform Hijrah from those lands to the lands of Islam, Even if she does not have a Mahram. And the difference between the two is that It is haraam for her to stay in a Kaafir land if it is not possible for her to practise her Deen, and she lives in fear of her Deen and her Life........"

This is all I could find Princess.........sorry if it's not what you're looking for :(

And please dont make me sweat anymore, I've been researching for so long already :'(

ass salaamu alaykum,

Laa Ba's Sis...mashaAllah you done good!! :thumbs_up you could post up the next question inshaAllah!!

:sl:
1. We should say salam first before them.
2. According hadith of ibn Abbas, when he met someone he said salam and then they walked together and then theyre separated by a tree and then when they see eachother again they say salam again.
3. IF we are on our cars or somehting, we should say salam to someone who is sitting in the side of the road or someone who is walking. And somone who is walking say salam to who sit at the side of the road.
4. If we are in salah, then we may raise our hand if someone said salam to us.

I dont know wether hold eachother or kiss eachother included sunnah? :? maybe its urf (tradition) right? Someone?
Sorry no complete daleels , yaa Allah, may someone do research on my answers  ameen. :D

This hadeeth mentions eating on the floor although its not waadhi3, clear..
Jabir bin 'Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with them, reported:
While the digging of the Trench was in progress, I saw Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) feeling very hungry. I came to my wife and said to her: Is there anything with you? I have seen Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) feeling extremely hungry. She brought out bag of provisions which contained a sa' of barley. We had also with us a lamb. I slaughtered it. She ground the flour. ....muslim

this hadeeth shows that jaaabir alayhi salaams wife set the food on the floor..

OK back to sis maws question:

tayyib...from the manners of salaam is hadeeth abee hurayra radhiyaAllahu anhu that the proohet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said "the one riding (ar-raakib) gives salaams to the one walking, and the walking give salaams to the one sitting, and the little group give salaams to the bigger group.
bukhari and muslim

also from hadeeth anas that the rpophet would pass by a group of children and give them salaams, its muttafaqun alayhi (agreed upon)

from hadeeth anas also that the prophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said: if the people of the book greet you (say salaams) say and the same to you, wa 3alayka. muslim,
i don't know if its in bukhaari...?

also we give salaams to who we know and who we don't know, narrated ibn 3amre that the rpophet alayhi salatu wassalaam said and you greet those who you know and those who you don't, agreed upon

also hadeeth aisha that the prophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam if he enetered the house at night, he wouls say salaams in a manner that wouldn't wake the sleeping, muslim

also the hadeeth that you reply with equal salaam or you say even better, but i can't remeber the sahaabi or the takhreej...sorry

i hope thats ok inshaAllah,
wassalaam

hadith on journeys

Sahih Bukhari : Volumn 002, Book 020, Hadith Number 192.
-----------------------------------------
Narated By Ibn 'Umar : The Prophet said, "A woman should not travel for more than three days except with a Dhi-Mahram (i.e. a male with whom she cannot marry at all, e.g. her brother, father, grandfather, etc.) or her own husband.)"

hmmm.....

Volumn 002, Book 020, Hadith Number 198.
-----------------------------------------
Narated By 'Abdullah bin 'Amir : From his father who said, I saw the Prophet (p.b.u.h) offering the prayer on his mount (Rahila) whatever direction it took.

hmm see how easy islam is? if we're on a plane or in a car we have the option to pray in the direction it is travelling in.

Volumn 002, Book 020, Hadith Number 186.
-----------------------------------------
Narated By Ibn Abbas : The Prophet once stayed for nineteen days and prayed shortened prayers. So when we travel led (and stayed) for nineteen days, we used to shorten the prayer but if we travelled (and stayed) for a longer period we used to offer the full prayer.

:salamext:

OH... BRO, Subhan Allaah & MashaAllaah-barakAllaah ! thts so favourable & GOOD !

next one is sunnah for sleeping inshaAllah hope it hasn't been asked lol....

wassalaam..

Ok So here are some Sunan for sleeping, I got these from Awnal Ma3bood by the way :D :

Dusting Your BedPlace before sleeping

From Abi Hurairah, He said that Rasulullah peace be upon him said " If one of you goes to his Firaash (place of sleep/rest) then let him dust it with the edge of his Izaar For verily he does not know what rested there after him. Then he should rest on his right side and say " Bismika Rabbi Wadha3tu Janbi wa Bika Arfa3uhu, In Amsakta Nafsee Farhamhaa wa In Arsaltahaa Fahfadhhaa Bimaa Tahfadhu Bihi 3ibaaduka As-Saaliheen"

Reading the 3 Quls and wiping over Body

From Ai'shah May Allah be pleased with her, That Rasulullah peace be upon him, Whenever he went to his Resting place everynight he would bring his hands together and spit into and read on them 'Qul Huwallahu Ahad' and 'Qul a3udhu birabbinnaas' and 'Qul a3udhu birabbil Falaq'. Then he would wipe with his hands all of those parts of his body which he could reach, starting from his head and face and the front of his body. He would do that three times

Placing The Right Hand under the Cheek

From Hafsah the Wife of Rasulullah peace be upon him, That Whenever Rasulullah wished to sleep he would place his right hand under his cheek then say " O Allah Protect me from Your Punishment on the Day that you Ressurrect your Servants" three times

Ok the Next Question is :

What is the Sunnah when conducting an argument/ debate
