Re: Qur'an Challenge!

ok heres another really really tough one (maybe even tougher than the previous!)... when you get hoo (haa with dhamma) at the end of a word and you dont stop reciting there, you extend it slightly as in "wa rasoolaHOO la'anahumullah" or "ukfuloonaHOO lakum wa hum laHOO naasihoon".

There is one place in the Quraan where this rule is broken.... where?

Re: Qur'an Challenge!

:sl:

I think I got ur question brother truemeasure, but i need to confirm it with you hehe

Re: Qur'an Challenge!

:sl:

oh dear I spoke to soon, what an embarssment :-[ oh well its back to research then

Re: Qur'an Challenge!

just remember that the HOO has to preceded by a letter with a vowel on it (ie fatah, kasra, dhamma) only then will it be extended. There is only one place in the Quran where this does not happen...

:D What exactly is the question?

:w:

Re: Qur'an Challenge!

yep. Preceded.

so for example 'fa ahlakat hu' does not count nor does 'wa rafa'naahu' since the 'hu' is preceded by a letter with no vowel on it.

Re: Qur'an Challenge!

A ghurab sis translated Crow , In surat Al Maida

31. Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: "Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?" Then he became one of those who regretted.
