Oookay.. here's the answer:

That Aayah comes up in the Qur'aan 11 times in.... :

- Surah Al-A'raaf; Aayah: 187

- Surah Yusuf; Aayahs: 21, 40, 68.

- Surah An-Nahl; Aayah: 38

- Surah Ar-Ruum; 6 & 30

- Surah Saba'; 28 & 36

- Ghaafir; 57

- And Al-Jaathiyah; 26.

Allah Ma'akum :peace:

:sl:

These ten blessed days of Dhil Hijjah we are in now are mentioned in the Quran...but where?

Surah Fajr, Ayah #2<--- from brother zAk :p
"By the dawn; by the 10 nights" [al-Fajr 89:1-2].

"That they might witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e., reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade, etc.), and mention the name of Allaah on appointed days, over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice)..." [al-Hajj 22:28]

Is the last verse referring to the last 10 nights then? It doesn't say ten days.......or maybe in the tafseer?

:sl:

Actually to keep this going ill just ask a quick question. Although it really saddens me that not alot of brothers and sisters take part in this thread, we should sacrfrice our time for the Quran so we become well versed in it and ponder on its meanings.

There is only one place were the phrase walilahi aqibatul umur, comes.

22:41 (They are) those who, if We establish them in the land, establish regular prayer and give regular charity, enjoin the right and forbid wrong: with Allah rests the end (and decision) of (all) affairs.
