Ramadan help/advice needed please?

First of all,Rmadan Murabak to all our brothers & sisters across the world.

As a new Muslim & my first Ramadan,I have a quick question? today is my first day of fasting,everythings good so far,but,when does fasting stop today is it when the sun fully sunsets our do I go with some sort of timetable/calender I'm here in Scotland?

Afaik, you break your fast with Iftar (Maghrib time) So when Maghrib prayer comes that is when you break it. For example here where I live, I break my fast 21:47 something.

thank you,the more info the better,i will check this out,i have also read that some Muslims especially new,use a 12hr fasting period,but best to go with the sunset/rise which can be up to 20hrs a day in some countries

Yep. In here it is 20 hours (or more at some days). Some people here use Makkah times as at the north parts of the country day is even longer or there is no sunsets at all.

Asalaamu Alaikum, The link you found is for Scotland in the USA. The Iftaar timings in Scotland will range from 21:40 - 49 depending on where in Scotland you reside. An example is a Ramadan calender for Edinburgh:

You can easily find Masjids near you on Google and check their website for a calender or go and see them personally to get a timetable. Also try to attend your local Masjid for prayers as much as possible during this blessed month as you will be able to connect with local Muslims and find many useful and helpful resources as well as the obligatory prayers in the Masjid being a duty for men to attend and also partaking in the Taraweeh prayers which take place after the Isha prayer. This is where the Imaam recites the entire Qur'an during the month of Ramadan.

I live in a small town near Glasgow so I will take that time
 
When I first began fasting, I for some reason had the strange idea the fast breaks at Isha. Thank goodness someone warned me just in time, lol.

But yes it breaks at Maghrib, and if you do pop down to a nearby Masjid for iftaar or taraweeh prayers, they often will give you a copy of the prayer times for the month on request.
