anyway i came to this thread because i am actually running out of what delicious dishes to cook everyday. anyone have any idea's?. with pictures if possible. :statisfie i find it hard to know what to cook an what tastes good.

Is seafood halal?

We had a prawn and chicken paella this evening:

^^ yes as a general ruling seafood is halal-though there is a difference of opinion as to whether seafood (all) is halal or if just fish is halal...but yeh.

Assalamualikum...

I decided to upload some pictures of my iftars =D. I share the credit with my mum (the best cook in the world) and my sister (fluke-r;)).

Today we had smoked salmon fish cakes that I made for the first time, they were so simple to make and delicious. I also made a salad with a dressing to compliment and a tartare sauce (except I used cucumber instead of gherkins and didnt have any parsley):

My mum made some daal (lentil soup) which is one of my favourite comfort foods, served with garlic bread (although it didnt need it)

For dessert (we are desperately trying to use up all the apples and blackberries from the garden) my sister made this yummy blackberry and apple crumble with custard.

Yesterday we had apple turnover served with creme fraiche...this is one of the leftovers:

:sl:

For iftar today made some mexican quesadilla's and chimichanga's:D. There not as exotic as they sound, very simple to make and tasty! We also had some shami kebabs:

These are the chimichanga's(lol), there supposed to be deep fried but I baked them with a little bit of olive oil. I made different fillings, theses ones are spinach, chicken and cheese.

These are the chicken tikka quesadillas, filled with chicken tikka pieces, sweetcorn, tomato, coriander and cheese (another one of my inventions):

And for dessert....
