It’s only a few days away
I can’t wait
In anticipation
The coming of the new moon
And the best month of the year

I hope I’m alive
Although I’m young
There’s no guarantee
That I’ll be here next month

Been waiting
Anticipating
Hoping
And silently praying
For a chance
To experience
Another Ramadhan

Last year I tried
To improve and change
Leave the bad habits
The drinking, womanising
Drugs and clubbing

Peace

Wow! Did you make that poem up???

Quite good and yep! Ramadhaan is coming! Can not wait!

Peace

I still can recall
When I was still small
Oh what a long day!
But I made it, all the way :statisfie

Its going to be my first

Now thats something special. I still remember the first time i fasted for the full month(i was 6), the feeling was great after that. Gotta admit it was hard, i slept alot, but it was all worth it come Syawal when the aunts and uncles congratulated me with some $$ :D

An entire month of Ibaadah.. InshaAllah..

You're Christian thought brother, do you fast?

Anyone have any special traditions during Ramadan?
I love every second of that month, life seems a lot more merrier and everyone is brought together no matter how busy they are. InshaAllah our families and we will have the opportunity to experience many many many more months of Fasting, iftaaris, sehris, taraweehs, lailatul qadr, eid and everything.
Alhumdulliah Ramadan and eid will be in the summer which makes things even better.

^ Agreed, but this happens every year - even when the local masjid announces they have not seen the moon and the moon is seen in Saudi, people start fasting. That is WRONG.

Well, sometimes, Saudi authorities announce a date and people where I live can't see the hilal. I think that it's very important to keep the suspens of ramadhan's hilal.

Even Saudi say follow your own masjids lol.
Anyway this debate will continue until day of Judgement, may Allaah protect our Ummah from such petty quarrels.

Just over a month left for Ramadan :D
