With the sighting of the new moon, Ramadhan has officially started in several countries tonight. We wish Ramadhan Mubarak to all the members of Islamic Board. May Allah :swt: grant us the ability to fully utilize this month with fasts, prayers, recitation of the Qur'an and all the good deeds.

Jeddah, Sha'ban 29, 1437, Jun 5, 2016, SPA -- Based on several reports from prudent witnesses in different parts of the country that they have eye-seen the new crescent of the month of Ramadan at sunset on Sunday Sha'ban 29, 1437 H., and as per Prophet Mohammed's instructions (pbuh) that Muslims are obliged to start fasting and breakfasting once they see the moon, the Higher Court has, at an extraordinary session this evening and after having collected enough evidence of the advent of the moon, decided that tomorrow Monday is the first of the fasting month of Ramadan 1437 H.

I forgot that this forum was full of wahabbis. No one is from Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaah, all wahabbis, Sad really, because the fast Saudi have kept is wrong as there was no moon sighted.

You must have missed the report quoted above that clearly says:

... they have eye-seen the new crescent of the month of Ramadan at sunset on Sunday Sha'ban 29, 1437 H

And some of us do live in Saudi Arabia.

Hope everyones fasts are going ok inshaAllah especially those fasting long hours (e.g. in UK) and have work.
