Gems Reminder of Today

Be in the company of righteous:
And keep yourself patiently with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face, and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp and glitter of the life of the world; and obey not him whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance, one who follows his own lusts and whose affair (deeds) has been lost.
(Quran 18:28)

Keep good relations:
Narrated Abdullah bin 'Amr (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, "Al-Wasil is not the one who recompenses the good done to him by his relatives, but Al-Wasil is the one who keeps good relations with those relatives who had severed the bond of kinship with him."
Bukhari Vol. 8 : No. 20

Be grateful to Allah:
When an affliction befalls man, he cries out to Us; but when We grant him a favour from Us, he says: “I have been granted this on account of my knowledge.” Nay; this (favour) is a test; but most of them do not know.(39:49)

And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.
(Ash-Shura: Verse 30)

Don't follow traditions:
Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "He who slaps the cheeks, tears the clothes and follows the tradition of the Days of Ignorance is not from us."
Volume 2, Book 23, Number 384: Sahih Bukhari

Wearing hijab without imaan (faith) is like eating food without taste; it fills you, but it never fulfills you.

"Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west,
but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves;
[and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise;
and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle.
Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. "- (Surah Baqara 2:177)

Don't lie:
"Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever"
[Quran 39:3]

A very important message about lying. Common sense suggests that lying is wrong. If you lie to hurt someone, to cheat someone, to falsely accuse someone, it is an evil act.

Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also warned against the evil of lying and said "Shall I not inform you of a great sin? Beware, it is to speak falsehood."

Lying can destroy love between people and will promote mistrust. No-one is perfect. But if we've lied and feel even a little bad about it, let's give our ego a kick up the backside and let's say sorry to those people we have hurt unnecessarily. You'll feel better. And it's better to say sorry now that when it's too late. And if you get an apology then accept it.

X asks Y to start going clubbing with him... Y replies, 'Nah it's not my thing akh..' X says. 'Come on bruv! You don't know untill you try' Y says, 'Would you want to go hell?' X says, 'erm ofcourse not' Y says, 'but you dont know untill you try?...yeah I thought so'

‘Divine help comes with patience, relief follows difficulty and ease follows hardship. Patience aids and supports a person more than an army of people and in the attainment of victory, it is like the head of the body.’

[Ibn Al-Qayyim]

Whatever you do Allah knows:
Till, when they come to it (the fire), their hearing, and their sights, and their skin will bear witness against them, speaking of what they were doing, And they will say to their skins: Why did you bear witness against us? They shall say: God has given speech to us, as He gives speech to everything.
(Surah Fussilat: 20)

"Go easy on yourself, for the outcome of all affairs is determined by Allaah's decree. If something is meant to go elsewhere, it will never come your way, but if it is yours by destiny, from you it cannot flee." - Umar Ibn al-Khattab

[h=6]If you disclose your Sadaqat (alms-giving), it is well, but if you conceal it, and give it to the poor, that is better for you. (Allah) will forgive you some of your sins. And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

All women are pearls of great value, but some of us have been deceived into doubting the value of our purity. Pearls are priceless and should be protected and guarded from unworthy eyes.
