[h=5]"If wealth was the secret to happiness, then the rich would be dancing on the streets, but only poor kids do that.

If power ensured security, then officials and politicians would walk unguarded, but those who live simply are the ones who have the soundest sleep.

If beauty and fame brought ideal relationships, then celebrities would have the best marriages.

Live simply, walk humbly, love genuinely and life will become easy & meaningful.

Remember, all blessings are from the Almighty so recognise them and HIM!"

Narrated 'Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Apostle said,

"No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even though it were the prick he receives from a thorn."
(Sahih Bukhari, book 70, hadith no 544)

REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "FOLLOW THE SUNNAH OF THE PROPHET (PBUH)" ✦

Narrated Abu Huraira RadiyAllaahu 'Anhu: Allah's Apostle SallAllaahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallam said, "All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse." They said, "O Allah's Apostle! Who will refuse?" He said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)”. [Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 92 :: Hadith 384]

Abu Huraira RadiyAllaahu 'Anhu reported that he heard Allah's Messenger SallAllaahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallam saying: Avoid that which I forbid you to do and do that which I command you to do to the best of your capacity.

[Muslim :: Book 30 : Hadith 5818]

REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "DON'T DELAY REPENTANCE" ✦

Someone might say: "I want to repent but my sins are too many." But Allah Says what means: "Say: 'O my slaves who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." [Qur’an 39:53]

Therefore, we should never lose hope or stop asking for Allah's forgiveness. Its importance is shown to us in the Hadeeth in which the Prophet - ﷺ - said: "O people! Turn to Allah in repentance and seek His forgiveness, for I make repentance to Him a hundred times every day." [Reported by al-Aghaar ibn Yasaar and collected in Saheeh Muslim (English trans., Vol. 4, p.1418, no. 6523)]

"OPEN THE NIGHT PRAYER WITH SUPPLICATION OF GUIDANCE" ✦

Abdurahman ibn Awf (radiyAllaahu 'anhu) reported: I asked Aisha (radiyAllaahu 'anha), mother of the believers, about words which the Messenger of Allah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) used to open his prayer when he would stand at night.

She (radiyAllaahu 'anha) said: When he (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) would stand at night, he would open his prayer by saying,

“O Allah, Lord of Gabriel, Michael, and Israfel; Originator of the heavens and the earth; Knower of the unseen and the seen; You judge between Your servants concerning that in which they differ. Guide me, by your leave, in what people differ concerning the truth. Indeed, You guide whom You will to the straight path.”

Fasting in Sha'baan

‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast until we thought he would never break his fast, and not fast until we thought he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of Allaah fasting for an entire month except in Ramadaan, and I never saw him fast more than he did in Sha’baan.” -

REVIVE A #SUNNAH ⇨ "#PURIFY YOUR #HEART FROM #MALICE AND #ENVY" ✦

The Man went to #Paradise because he purified his heart from Malice and Envy.

Anas ibn Malik (رضى الله عنه) said that when he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), he said: “Coming upon you now is a man from the people of Paradise.” So a man came from the Ansar whose beard looked disarrayed by the water from Wudu (ablution), and he was carrying both of his shoes with his left hand.

The next day the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) repeated the same words, and the Ansar came in the same condition.

The third day the #Prophet repeated the same again, and the Ansar man showed up in the same condition.

When the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) stood up to leave, Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Al-’As followed the man and asked him, “I have quarreled with my father and I have sworn not to enter my home for three days. May I stay with you?” He said: “Yes.”

Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Al-‘As stayed three nights with him but never saw him praying at night, and whenever he went to bed, he would remember Allah and rest until he woke up for Fajr prayer.

Abdullah said that he never heard anything but good from his mouth. When three nights had passed and he did not see anything special about his actions, Abdullah asked him, “O servant of Allah! I have not quarreled with my father nor have I cut relations with him. I heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) say three times that a man from the people of Paradise was coming to us, and then you came. So I thought I should stay with you and see what you are doing that I should follow, but I did not see you do anything special. What is the reason that the Messenger of Allah spoke highly of you?”

The man said: “It is as you have seen.” When Abdullah was about to leave, the man said, “It is as you have seen, except that I do not find fraud in my soul towards the Muslims, and I do not envy anyone because of the good that Allah has given them.”

REVIVE A #SUNNAH ⇨ "TAKE #SUHUR BEFORE #FASTING" ✦

➲ It is narrated from Anas bin Malik (radiyallaahu anhu) that The Prophet (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa salam) said, "Take Suhur as there is a blessing in it." [#Sahih #Bukhari: Book 3 Vol 31 Hadith 146]

➲ The Prophet (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa salam) said, "Take meal a little before dawn, for there is a blessing in taking meal at that time." [Sahih #Muslim Book 6 #2412]

"This kind of barakah should not be ignored; rather the believer should be keen to attain it even if that is by eating a small amount of food or dates or milk, which will help him in both religious & worldly acts during the day." [Shaykh Abd al-Azeez ibn Baaz]

When is the time for Suhur?

➲ It is narrated from Anas (radiyallaahun anhu) that Zaid bin Thabit (radiyallaahun anhu) said, "We took the Suhur with the Prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam). Then he stood for the prayer." I asked, "What was the interval between the Suhur and the Adhan?" He (sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam) replied,► "The interval was sufficient to recite fifty verses of the Quran." [Bukhari: Book 3 Vol 31 Hadith 144]

Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah

very beautiful dua. We can say it in our Sujood.

Al-'Abbās, the uncle of the Prophet (pbuh), came to the Prophet (pbuh) and said, “Ya Rasūlullāh, teach me a du'ā'.” The Prophet said, “O my uncle, say: Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah (O Allāh, I ask you for 'āfiyah).”

What is 'āfiyah?

'Āfiyah means “to save me from any afflictions.

To be healthy, you are in 'āfiyah. To have enough money to live, you are in 'āfiyah.

To have your children protected, you are in 'āfiyah. And if you are forgiven and not punished, you are in 'āfiyah. 'Āfiyah means “O Allāh, protect me from any pain and suffering.” This includes dunya and ākhirah. Al-'Abbās thought about this for a while, and then he came back after a few days and said (paraphrased), “Ya Rasūlullāh, this du'ā' seems a little short. I want something big.”

The Prophet (pbuh) said, “My dear uncle, ask Allāh for 'āfiyah for wallāhi, you cannot be given anything better than 'āfiyah.” It is a simple du'ā'.

Sincerely mean what you say. “O Allāh, I ask You to be saved from any distress, grief, hardship, harm. Don't test me.” All of this is included in “Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah”. By Yasir Qadhi

Observing a Retreat in the Mosque (I`tikaf)

Observing a retreat in the mosque is of the best things we can do during the last ten nights of Ramadan. Aisha tells us: "The Prophet used to observe a retreat in the mosque during the last ten nights of Ramadan up until he died. His wives continued to observe this practice after his death." (Al Bukhari & Muslim)

The practice of i`tikaf is a strongly recommended act. It is defined as remaining in retreat in the mosque for the express purpose of worship. The purpose of doing so is to devote one's heart exclusively to Allah . The person engaging in i`tikaf keeps this intention close to mind and seeks Allah's blessings. He should not forget the reason why he is observing this retreat.

A person observing i`tikaf does not leave the mosque except for what is absolutely necessary (like going to the bathroom). While in the mosque, he should busy himself with the remembrance of Allah . He should make sure to offer the remembrances of the morning and evening and the prescribed remembrances for the five daily prayers. He should perform all of the Sunnah prayers. He should read as much of the Quran as he can.

He should spend less time eating and sleeping as little as possible. He should avoid unnecessary talk. However, he should engage in advising his fellow Muslims and in enjoining them to truth and to patience.

Thanks for these good advice Sister. I also want to share one.

"You should seek divine pleasure in your actions. If Almighty God is pleased, it is of no importance if the whole world even is displeased."

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

Your Du'a' is answered unless you become impatient, saying, 'I supplicated and supplicated but I did not find it being responded to,' and then you become frustrated and give up Du'a'.

"THE SUNNAH OF THE DAY OF #EID" ✦

THE SUNNAH OF THE DAY OF EID -:- EVERY MUSLIM SHOULD OBSERVE:

1 – Doing Ghusl before going out to the Prayer.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to do ghusl on the day of Fitr before going to the place of prayer. [Malik :: Book 10 : Hadith 10.1.2]

2 – Eating before going out to pray on Eid al-Fitr:

Narrated Anas bin Malik,: Allah's Apostle never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of 'Id-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates. Anas also narrated: The Prophet used to eat odd number of dates. [Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 15 :: Hadith 73]

Whoever does not have any dates may eat anything that is permissible.

3 – Takbeer on the day of Eid

The time for takbeer on Eid al-Fitr starts from the night before Eid until the imam enters to lead the Eid prayer.

It was narrated in a saheeh report that ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sulami said, “They (companions) emphasized it more on the day of al-Fitr than the day of al-Adha.”. Wakee’ said, this refers to the takbeer. [See Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 3/122/]

Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated with a saheeh isnaad that al-Zuhri said: The people used to recite Takbeer on Eid when they came out of their houses until they came to the prayer place, and until the imam came out. When the imam came out they fell silent, and when he said takbeer they said takbeer. [See Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 1/121]

4 – Offering Congratulations

It was narrated that Jubayr ibn Nufayr said: When the companions of the Prophet PBUH met one another on the day of Eid, they would say to one another, " تَقَبَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنَّا وَمِنْك 'Taqabbal Allaahu minna wa mink' '(May Allaah accept (this worship) from us and from you)". [Ibn Hajar said, its isnaad is hasan. Al-Fath, 2/446.]

5 – Adorning oneself on the occasion of Eid.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Umar: Umar bought a silk cloak from the market, took it to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Take it and adorn yourself with it during the 'Id and when the delegations visit you." Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) replied, "This dress is for those who have no share (in the Hereafter)." [Bukhari :: Book 2 :: Volume 15 :: Hadith 69]

The Prophet PBUH agreed with ‘Umar on the idea of adorning oneself for Eid, but he denounced him for choosing this cloak because it was made of silk.

Narrated Naafi: Ibn ‘Umar used to wear his best clothes on Eid. [Sunan Kubra Bayhaqi 6363, Sahih Isnaad]

So a man should wear the best clothes that he has when going out for Eid.

6 – Going to the Prayer by one route and returning by another.

Narrated Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah RA: "On the day of Eid, the Prophet PBUH would vary his route, i.e., he would go via one route and come back via a different route". [Bukhaari 986]
