u know what i dont understand tho, some ppl hav like 20 times more reps than others, but their rep power is 1 or 2, when ppl who hav a few hundred reps, can hav a rep power of 3

how does that work??

salamz

I think it depends on your reps compared to ur posts. Let's say someone had 2000 reps. But they had 30000 posts. Do you think their rep power would be high?

so that means i should rally ppl 2 rep my posts b4 i continue posting :X :rollseyes :heated:

As far as I understand your reputation power depends on
1. how many positive reps you have received
2. how many posts you have posted yourself
3. how long you have been a member in this forum.

Things that affect rep power:

1.Posts (every 100, it increases +1)
2.Time spent on LI (every month +1)

glo, ol that's what i was hopign to hear... anyone got an equation to define that relationship lol? ;D

salam

EDIT: iqram demonstrated just that lol

No. Why? What's the deal with reputation power? You will just accumulate it gradually as time goes by.
It doesn't mean you are a better person, the more reputation power you gain. :rollseyes

Oh... Glo beat me to it.

not really.
every 100 posts ? u must be kidding...
if thts so...i wud hv had atleast 200 rep power :X
*rolls eyes*... you would like that wouldn't you? So you could neg rep me minus 200.... after 20 neg reps they would all be gone!

Yeah... i like giving out reps. But nowadays i'm always low on reps. What's the pont of this: you have given out too many reps in the past 24 hours, please try again later'
How can you be TOO generous? SubhanAllah.

Selam aleykum
I have a question
Ever since teh reputation system has gone anounimous I've noticed I didn't get feedback coments anymore along with the rep point I recieved. Is there something wrong with the control panel? Because when you give reps to someone there's still a box to eneter "reason for aproval" Does whatever I write there get send or am I wasting my time there?

:sl: If you want to check the comment, you can click the thread that has received the reps from the User CP, which should take you to the actual post, from here you can click the button above your name (the one that you would normally click to give reps to someone else) and you should be able to see the comment...
:w:
So it does!! (I just tried)

Problem is, because people don't know about this system, they don't give comments anymore. I know that I don't ... I thought there was no point.

Peace

rep power decides.. how many reps u can gv to a person in one go.

n tht depends on mainly 3 things.
ur post count.
ur duration of stay here.
ur rep score.

one question, does threads count too?
