I hope this doesnt annoy anyone- that im bring up the reps system change again:rollseyes

I remember one of the Mods or admins saying that the ability members have to put a comment will be removed soon...

umm.. isnt there a way to just make it so that reps can be given with comment and username between members of the same sex but not between the males and females?

Just a though- becuase id hate to see the comment privilege taken away. :sister:

i dont think vbulletin (The software they're using 4 that) has that feature

but if a mod knows php they can re-write the script to do that... it's not that hard i think.



PS: incase mod interested, the logic is like this... umm the script disables php just like that, but you rewrite it along this line

if ( - query mysqldb for gender - genderSentTo== genderReceiver) {
display comment
} else {
not display
}

over simplified but its only a few conditional statemetns das needed in the code

Yeah it would be nice to c what a person has to say. Hope it works inshallah.
 
I personaly like the fact that ppl cant see who gave them the comment because that way ppl cant giv reps to ppl just because they gave them a rep, ppl actually get repped based on the post n not on personal reasons.

Sorry sis what do you mean? I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that the comment thing was going to be disabled soon as well, meaning you cant just sign off your name at all.

I don't think the system can be implemented that way, unless there is a way to do it.

I've been getting reps but only one sis leaves her username :(

But I think to leave it the way it is , is better than to totally take away the comment part.

The thing is that some people might pretend to be a member of the opposite gender, and anyone can switch their gender anytime they want anyway.

Which can lead to fitnah if people abuse it. wa Allaahu ta'aala a'lam.

but the only reason i like reps is for the nice comments sisters give.... i hate reps with no messages.

Then wouldn't that mean that there could be males in the sisters section?!
 
No he means when they give a comment in the rep;D.... like i could give u a rep and say 'oh wow cool post - fi sab'
Get it?
