The thing is that some people might pretend to be a member of the opposite gender, and anyone can switch their gender anytime they want anyway.

Which can lead to fitnah if people abuse it. wa Allaahu ta'aala a'lam.

i get annoyed now that who gives the reps doesn't come up-some people give bad reps for absolutely lame and stupid reasons-just cos they can't be seen

it can lead to fitnah cos people can write indecent messages to eachother

In that case if the name is not seen it leads to fitna coz the person sneaks away.

If usernames are shown, then if a member writes indecent stuff one can know who it is.

If anyone feels that their getting bad reps (i.e. with bad comments) then please pm any of the supermods or admins and they'll sort the matter out insha'Allaah. (because they can view who sent the rep etc.) jazak Allaah khayr.

no-i mean two people of opp. gender can communicate with eachother indecently and in an islamically unallowed way-cos rep points are diff to PMs

What if someone knocks a rep off and you don't deserve it? They could just be doing it cos they don't like you or something wich isn't very nice either.

he's talking about if they write stupid stuff
what if they don't write anything but give it to you for soemthing you don't deserve to receive it for..

First of all, i don't really think that reps mean anything because we should be doing everything purely for the sake of Allaah Almighty, and in return for that - we will insha'Allaah get a better reward which is jannah.


Second, if anyone ever feels that they've been treated unjustly or are being attacked through negative reps etc. Then please pm the supermods or admins and they may be able to delete that rep, and may even warn the user if the person continuously does that on purpose.

I hate it when people give you neg reps and say nothing. They could atleast tell me what they didn't like. That way I could improve my post or at least get a fresh view. Don't worry everyone... i won't kill you if you tell me why you don't like my post!
