It doesn't matter which century. And yes, about being cursed and war also applies:

“O you who believe, fear Allah and give up what remains of your demand for riba, if you are indeed believers. If you do it not, take notice of war from Allah and His Messenger.” (Qur’an 2:278-279)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Allah has cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who gives it, the one who witnesses over it, and the one who writes down the transaction.” (Muslim)

Do you hsve links for scholars who can answer this in more detail according to context. Thanks

That is a paste of text. Unsure if aurhentic as per situations and current era era. Of no option to have purchaaed but with mortgage

The scholars TODAY are saying this. This is still applicable to today and forever. The word of Allah does not change. One of the texts is from the Quran itself so I don't know how you can question authenticity.

Secondly for you to take out a mortgage means that you are not able to afford the house. Therefore, instead of participating in riba, you should rent your home.
