Assalamualaikum dear brothers & sisters in Islam.

No, i am not from KSA. It just happened that my fate have brought me here to the land of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) for the past two months... Alhamdulillah, God is Great..... :statisfie

Hope to go for my first umrah in one or two weeks time, & at the moment my heart seems to be a little bit restless in anxiety. All kind of feelings mixed up into one...

I do hope to get some advice though from those who have actually been there. Transportation, accomodations, etc...

Until then, Assalamualaikum.

Assalamualaikum brothers & sisters,

Thanks 4 the warm welcome. Some of u have initiated that there are some of the forummers who actually resided in KSA. Well, who are they? I'm not that frequent in this forum, so please pardon me if i said that i'm not aware of any....

Enough said, really the experience in KSA is very much exciting. I'm opening my eyes and my mind to the new culture here in KSA. The people, the food, the places, the whether, how shop's are closed each time during Adzan, how the sisters wear abaya in public...& it is very much charming of them. To safeguard their modesty from the gaze of other people. Subhanallah....

Well I do have one question though. It's about the social ethics that is practise here. I dont want to offend somebody unintentionally out of ignorance....:rollseyes

How to do greetings, how to say thank you and things like that....

Assalamualaikum,

Btw, i'm still waiting for any tips on doing umrah from anybody..... Things to do, things to avoid, things to be aware of...

Welcome to the forums. Enjoy your stay.
Riyadh is a wonderful place.
Have a safe journey to Umrah InshaAllah.
It's going to be a long one.

Assalamualaikum dear bro & sis,

Why do i have this kind of feelings that the Saudi's here are not very receptive of the foreigners? I might be wrong, but, from my observation they do to be a little bit suspicious of the foreigners, esp those from Asia.......?
