Server NightMare

Gosh ! Seems that 3 weeks of posts is a matter of Life and Death for some!

I wouldnt be doing server upgrades if it wasnt for the Better......
If you understood the job as a System administrator then you would know exactly what position we are in..

I dont do Islamicboard fulltime - i got a a full time job myself and other commitments so i dont have to do this if i wanted to ..but im moving servers all the time to ensure that Islamicboard gets the very best..

moving servers aint easy on anyone especially on the stress that myself and the technicians had to go through from Friday Night onwards....

If i had let islamicboard run on the other servers things would have been worse!

but 3 weeks worth of posts im not sure why you fussing over it for!
 
I understand bro how it feels when you have too much to handle.

But i don't understand why people never stop complaining, they never appreciate Brother Sajid's efforts, he is trying to make this a better place for us. All we do is sit our butt down on a chair and gossip whole day long, but we don't really care about how much time and effort it takes to keep the forum running.

I don't see you doing anything for the forum, other than complaining.
 
Alhamdulillah...I am definitely seeing a clear increase in speed. Couple that with 16mb broadband (getting about 15.373 but who's counting) and waddaya know...quick as lightning Mashaa'Allah. :)

Jazakallah khair brother -S- take you time, dont worry too much. We can take it, its not really our lives. lol. I actually see a difference in speed and im not evn in the UK..

Now to say what I really meant to say. Brother -S- worked many long hours to restore this. It is true that some stuff was lost. But he did an excellent job in being able to save as much as he did save. I just want to let him know his efforts are appreciated.

I have noticed that the forum is prone to frequent lapses where I cannot access any page on the forum for about a minute or so. After that, it returns to normal.

The server not found page does not come up. It just says 'waiting for Islamicboard.com' on the bottom left but it doesn't actually give me the page when I try to access the forum. I'm using firefox btw.

It happens every five minutes or so I would say.

I don't know whether I'm the only person experiencing this. Could it be something to do with the new server? It is just for this site, other sites work fine, it's just islamicboard.

It's nothing too bothersome though, I can deal with it because I just wait for about a minute every time it happens and it works again.

Yeah that happens to me, but really you didn't post, but even then you shouldn't click it 'cause then it double posts, get it?

It's fine now. But when you go to your own page, all the images are not displayed. they have X in the boxes.
 
^^ Yeah, sister. It is more slower than before. But I have to patient when I am clicking the threads to open. It is takes to open by 1 to 2 minutes.
