The Wise Saint

Once a saint saw a man with a bandage tied round his leg & making noises out of pain.

“Why have you tied the bandage?” he asked.

“Because I have a wound on my leg” the man replied. “How old are you?” the saint demanded.

“28 years old” he replied. “Have you been in pain and anguish the greater part of your life?” he inquired. “No,” the man answered.

“For thirty years you have enjoyed good health,” he remarked, “and you never tied the bandage of thankfulness. Now because of this one small wound, that you have, you tie the bandage of complaint!”

Moral: Always be thankful to God in all situations of life. And don’t complain for just a small problem.

Color Difference

The following scene took place on an American Airlines flight between Chicago and Toronto.

A white woman, about 52 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air hostess.

“Madam, what is the matter” the hostess asked.

You obviously do not see it then ? She responded. You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat.

“Be calm please” the hostess replied. “Almost all the seats on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available.”

The Hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later and said “Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is also no seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class.”

Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued. “It is not usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class However, given the circumstances the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting.”

She turned to the black guy, and said. “Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please take your hand luggage because a seat awaits you in the first class.”

At the moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

Moral: All mankind is from Adam and Eve. A white has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over white except by piety and good action

When Things Didn’t Work My Way!

My mom always told me that everything happens with the Will of God and one should never leave hope, cause HE is the best planner and HE will reveal it on the best times.

These are the words which I have been hearing since I was a child but never experienced it till recently. Today I want to share one of the examples of it that how God`s plan work!!

After my graduation, I started to look for a job and for that I gave many tests and interviews but things didn’t work in my favor.

And usually in my field if you get a job they will bond you for 2-3 years so I was hoping that soon I will be the lucky one who will make his place in a multi-national company. Weeks and months passed, and almost an year went out and I was still jobless.

Gradually the pressure was building up and I was getting more and more tensed about this situation but again my mom said its not in your control. God willing, you will find the right job on the right time.

After hearing these words my heart felt relief. And then the day came when I got more than a job.

I got scholarship from one of the best Universities of the world. Not only that, but even by air ticket, accomodation, living expenses, tuition fees would be borne by the Government.

Then I realized, why I hadn’t got a job. If I had got a job, I couldn’t go for higher studies since I didn’t had the money to bear the heavy expenses.

Moral: Work hard and leave the rest to God. What ever happens will be for your good.

Which One Are You?

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn't know how she was going to make it.

She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.

Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire.

Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot and ground coffee beans in the third pot.

He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing.

After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup.

Turning to her, he asked. "Daughter, what do you see?" "Potatoes, eggs and coffee," she hastily replied.

"Look closer", he said, "and touch the potatoes." She did and noted that they were soft.

He then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.

Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.

"Father, what does this mean?" she asked.

He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity-the boiling water. However, each one reacted differently. The potato went in strong, hard and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.

The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water. Then the inside of the egg became hard.

However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.

"Which one are you?" he asked his daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean?"

In life, things happen around us, things happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is what happens within us.

Which one are you? When problems come (and they will) how will we react? Will they make us weak, hard hearted or will they cause us to change into something worthwhile?

"Happiness is not something you find, it's something you create."

"Smile in pleasure, smile in pain; Smile when trouble pours like rain; Smile when someone hurts you, Smile coz someone cares for you."

Mysterious Helping Hands

Iram, and her brother, Ahmed, were excited about the upcoming days. It was Ramadan, a time to learn appreciation for the things they had, and to think of others who didn't have as much.

They had both been saving their money all year long. Iram, who was seven years old, sat on her bed and dumped out her money Jar. Coins ran all over the blanket. "This is a lot of money. Momma says we are supposed to help someone. She wants us to think about how much we have and then think of someone who doesn't have very much, and do something nice for them," Iram said, gathering the money into a pile. "Dump out your Jar, Ahmed," she told her brother.

The coins came spilling out of his Jar onto the bed. "Wow! We can do a lot for someone with all this money," Ahmed said, smiling. "This is such a special time of year. I'm glad we can help others."

"But we have to do it secretly, Ahmed, remember. We have to pick someone and do something very nice without them knowing it is from us. Who should we pick?" Iram asked.

"Let's pick our neighbors, Rashid, and Fatima. I noticed that they had holes in their shoes," Ahmed said.

"That's a good idea. We could buy some new shoes for them. They aren't as blessed as we are. We have a lot of shoes, don't we?" Iram asked with appreciation.

"I have three pair. You have more. Let's buy some new shoes for them this Ramadan," Ahmed said, smiling.

Iram and Ahmed found their momma. She was busy washing some dates. She saw her children come into the kitchen. "I'm going to make some baklawa for tonight," she said, knowing her family loved to eat that during Ramadan.

"Pappa is at the mosque, in prayer. When he comes home, after the sun sets, we'll have some. In the meantime, you two look like you've got something on your minds."

"We want to help the poor. Ahmed and I have been saving our money all year long and we want to help Rashid and Fatima, our neighbors," Iram began.

Ahmed, with excitement, interrupted, "We want to buy them some shoes."

Momma smiled at her beautiful children. She was so proud of them.

"Aren't you hungry, Momma?" Ahmed asked. He knew she had not had anything to eat or drink since dawn that morning due to Ramadan fasting.

"I'm a little bit, but that is good for me. Don't worry about me. When you're older, you will understand more and be able to fast too," she explained. "Would you like me to take you to the store to buy the shoes?" she asked.

Ramadhan Eid Story"Would you, Momma? Is that all right?" Iram begged.

"Why of course. Let's go," she said.

They walked to the shoe store and went inside. Iram picked out a pair of shoes for Fatima. Ahmed picked out a pair for Rashid. They were both so proud that they'd saved their money so they could do this to help. Later, they went home and wrapped the shoe boxes in plain brown paper. They waited anxiously for night to come. It would be dark and they could deliver their gifts.

The sun began to drop behind the horizon. A little while later, Pappa came home. He and Momma had some lentil soup, then tomato and cucumber sandwiches. Momma called to her children, "Iram. Ahmed. Come and have some baklawa, and some fresh dates." The children came running into the kitchen. Momma cut them a big piece.

They gobbled it down quickly as they were anxious to do their good deed. "Slow down, children," Pappa urged, laughing.

It was soon dark outside. Momma had the children go and get the boxes they'd wrapped so carefully. They put their coats on and walked quietly over to Rashid and Fatima's house. Momma whispered, "All right, children. We must be very quiet and very fast. Ahmed, you knock on the door and then run over here, to this bush, where Iram and I will be hiding. We'll watch as they come and find their gifts."

Iram and Ahmed giggled with delight. Iram and Momma hid, and Ahmed tiptoed up to the door. He put both of the boxes down on the porch, and knocked hard. Then he ran, and ran, and ran, as fast as he could, to where Iram and Momma were. "Shhh," Momma whispered. "Someone opened the door."

They watched as Rashid and Fatima came out onto the porch. "Look! There are presents for us. Someone left them here," Rashid cried out with excitement. He and Fatima looked around. It was very dark and they couldn't see anyone. They picked up the boxes and took them inside.

After a minute or two, waiting to make sure they wouldn't be seen, Momma, Ahmed, and Iram, snuck quietly back to their house. Ahmed started laughing. "Pappa! Pappa! We did it! We snuck up and left the presents!"

Iram added, "They didn't see us, Pappa. They don't know it was us." She was laughing too.

Momma and Pappa stood back and looked at their children. They were so proud of them. They knew their children knew the real meaning of giving and of sacrifice. The next morning, as Momma, Pappa, Iram, and Ahmed went to their car to drive into town, they saw Rashid and Fatima outside playing. They were both wearing their brand new shoes. Nobody said a thing. Iram and Ahmed just smiled, because it is one of the best Ramadan for them.

Trust in what is ‘written’

Recently, I planned to take my family on a weekend trip to a nearby kids activities farm. The plan was to leave at 9:00am when the builder arrives to do carry out some repair work at our house. It was a cold and frosty morning and when he did not turn up by 9:15am I began to get impatient and by 9:30am I had to phone him to check.

It turned out that a car skidded against his van that same morning and some damage occurred but he should be on his way in 5 or 10 min. By 10:00am I was quite tense and almost angry that this is happening and no sign of the builder. My good wife kept reminding me the poor guy is having problems and anytime he arrives is good for us to leave. Trust in what is ‘written’, she said.

By 10:30 I ran out of patience and picked up the phone to reschedule the repair work for another day. At that very moment he knocked on the door. Needless to say that I got out of the house as fast as I could to avoid having a long chat with the builder and losing my temper with him (you may even laugh at this!).

We were finally on the road at 11:00am. Till then the sun had risen and the roads were clear. When we returned to the house later on that evening we found that the building work was nearly complete.

Next morning, while my wife was chatting to her friend on the phone, she heard that the latter’s niece had died in a car accident the previous day. The cause of the accident was black ice on the roads. This was unexpected as the temperature was not too low and there was no warning on the weather report nor was there any gritting done.

As it turned out, several people in the village had accidents and it dawned on me how close to disaster my family and I were the previous day and how my impatience and temper nearly got us into a major accident.

When I checked the car’s tyres I realised that we were destined to live that day. The thread level was non-existent on 3 tyres! If we traveled any earlier than we did with black ice we could have been history by now.

By 11:00am the ice melted on the road and it was safe to drive again.

I remembered the Quranic verse: ‘ … and it may be that you love something and there is great harm in it or you may dislike something and God puts in it a great deal of good’.

Moral: If things happen against your wishes it’s because it is better for you that way. Anger and bad temper can only be harmful.

Once a man saw in his dream, that a lion was chasing him.The man ran to a tree, climbed on to it and sat on a branch. He looked down and saw that the lion was still there waiting for him.The man then looked to his side where the branch he was sitting on was attached to the tree and saw that two rats were circling aroundand eating the branch. One rat was black and the other one was white. The branch would fall on the ground very soon. The man then looked below again with fear and discovered that a big black snake had come and settled directly under him. The snake opened its mouth right under the man so that he will fall into it.The man then looked up to see if there was anything that he could hold on to. He saw another branch with a honeycomb. Drops of honey were falling from it.

The man wanted to taste one of the drops. So, he put his tongue out and tasted one of the fallen drops of honey. The honey was amazing in taste. So, he wanted to taste another drop. As he did, he got lost into the sweetness of the honey.Meanwhile, he forgot about the two rats eating his branch away,

the lion on the ground and the snake that is sitting right under him.

After a while, he woke up from his sleep.

To get the meaning behind this dream, the man went to a pious scholar of Islam. The Islamic scholar who interpret the dream said, the lion you saw is your death. It always chases you and goes wherever you go.The two rats, one black and one white, are the night and the day. Black one is the night and the white one is the day. They circle around, coming one after another, to eat your time as they take you closer to death. The big black snake with a dark mouth is your grave. It's there, just waiting for you to fall into it. The honeycomb is this world and the sweet honey is the luxuries of this world. We like to taste a drop of the luxuries of this world but it's very sweet. Then we taste another drop and yet another.Meanwhile, we get lost into it and we forget about our time, we forget about our death and we forget about our graves.

Moral of the Story:

According to Islam, this life is very short and full of material things that can get in the way of our submission to Almighty God. It's not wrong to have these material possessions as long as we remember our obligations to Almighty God and thank Him for those things. We shouldn't get preoccupied with this temporary worldly life and forget Hereafter.

It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (saw) has said: "Most intellectual of man is he remembers the death most."

It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (saw) has said: "One who gains the love and grace of Allah, always end (Ajal) will be before his eyes and he will be always worried about his death. But the one who take Satan (Shaitan) as a friend and becomes Bad-Bakht. Shaitan overpowers him and indulge (Giraftaar) him in long long desiresand them he never remember death."

Easy way to change ourselves:

There was a king long time ago and he had a vast kingdom. Though he had tremendous amount of wealth, but he didn't have peace of heart. So he decided to be a good Muslim. He heard that there is a very pious man who stays in a jungle and that many people go to visit him for advice. The king decided to visit him for some advice also. When he got there, he asked the pious man "How can I become pious like you?" The pious man replied that remember death 40 times a day for 40 days. The king thought that it was very easy and he thanked him and left for his palace. He remembered death 40 times a day for 40 days but no change came to his life. He was same as before.

The king became angry and called that pious man to his court. The king told him that he is nothing but a liar and that he should be killed before he fools other people. It was decided that he will be beheaded the next day. But the Pious man had a request. He asked if he could become the king for a day. He promised that after getting the command, he will not kill the previous king or do any harm to him. So, the king agreed and made the pious man the king for a day. As soon as the pious man became the king, he went to the market and saw a man selling peanuts. He told the soldiers to catch that man and bring him to the palace. So, the peanut sales man was brought to the court. The pious man told the peanut sales man that he will be killed tomorrow. The peanut sales man became frightened and dropped all his peanuts. He started crying and asked what he did. But the pious man said that he will be killed tomorrow and locked up in jail for today.

Now, as the peanut sales man knew that he is going to die, he forgot about everything else and started asking forgiveness from Allah. He started praying and doing excessive dhikir (remembrance of Allah). The Pious man ordered that the most beautiful prostitute in the city should be brought and placed in the jail with peanut sales man. She was brought and she asked the man to commit adultery with her. Now the pious man brought the previous king and told him to watch. The peanut sales man started yelling at the woman to get away because he is going to die tomorrow and this evil deed will surely cause him problems with Allah.

Then the pious man asked the previous king if he understood what is going on. The Pious man explained that when you really know that you will die, then you will surely stay away from all evil deeds and engage yourself into the worship of Allah.

So, remembering death once properly would be enough to change the life of a human being.
Ofcourse, the peanut sales man was released afterwards.

The Emergency

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy’s father going and coming in the hall waiting for the doctor.

Once seeing him, the dad yelled:“Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have the sense of responsibility?”

The doctor smiled and said: “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call. And now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will you do??” said the father angrily.

The doctor smiled again and replied: “From dust we came and to dust we return. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go and pray to God for your son, we will do our best by God’s grace”

“Giving advice when we’re not concerned is so easy” Murmured the father. The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy, “Thank God!, your son is saved!”

And without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running. “If you have any question, ask the nurse!!”

“Why is he so arrogant? He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state” commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: “His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery. And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish the formalities.”

Moral: The happiness of others above own happiness. God's help comes according to God's plan. Be grateful and humble when God's help arrives.Do not ask too much from people. You do not know how much they can give.

Find a reason to praise God in every situation. This world is a place for deeds not for reward. Do your best no matter in what position you are. Life is the only capital human possess. The real life is life hearafter as promised by God.

One fine day, a bus driver went to the bus station, started his bus, and drove off along the route. No problems for the first few stops – a few people got on, a few got off and things went generally well.

At the next stop, however, a big hulk of a guy got on, six foot eight, built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared at the driver and said, “Big John doesn’t pay!” and sat down at the back.
Did I mention that the driver was five foot three, thin, and basically meek? Well, he was. Naturally, he didn’t argue with Big John, but he wasn’t happy about it. The next day the same thing happened – Big John got on again, made a show of refusing to pay, and sat down. And the next day, and the next.
This grated on the bus driver, who started losing sleep over the way Big John was taking advantage of him. Finally he could stand it no longer and so he signed up for body building courses, karate, judo, and all that good stuff.

By the end of the summer, he had become quite strong; what’s more, he felt really good about himself.
So on the next Monday, when Big John once again got on the bus and said, “Big John doesn’t pay!” The driver stood up, glared back at the passenger and screamed, “And why not???!!!”
With a surprised look on his face, Big John replied, “ Because Big John has a bus pass.”
MORAL / LESSON:
The moral of this incident/story is quite self evident. However, it is a lesson that many of us seem to overlook and disregard in the many activities and chores of our life.
We learn from this incident that a person should not be hasty in making assumptions and judging a situation or an individual from what seems to be the apparent.
It is essential that a Muslim assumes the best of his fellow being and gives him the benefit of the doubt. If possible, one should allow the fellow being to explain himself as to clear any doubts one may have.
Our Nabi صلى الله عليه و صلم has stated that being hasty is from Shaytaan whilst steady composure is from Allah سبحانه و تعالى.
In the same manner ‘Ulamaa have stated that if there is a single reason for doubt in a matter relating to a person then that doubt should have an effect on the decision that is made.
In conclusion, one should take all factors into consideration and avoid hastiness in judging an individual. Instead, one should try to make the matter clear as to avoid placing false accusations on anyone.

You are beautiful

It’s a phrase that my mother uses a lot. I used to wonder, “How in the world can Mother call them beautiful?” I am a logical, statistical man. I call thing as I see them. I didn’t see beauty. My mother would tell people this with an enthusiasm they could feel. She was genuine. She wasn’t telling them they were beautiful to get something from them. Most of the time, they were trying to get something from her.

I wondered for years what was wrong with Mother’s perception and vision. Couldn’t she see that all of the people she called beautiful weren’t beautiful?

You were beautiful only if you had a certain figure and face that was classed as beautiful by the laws of the world and glamour. Yet when my mother spoke, people smiled as though Glamour magazine had listed them as one of the beautiful people of the year.

It took me years to finally understand my mother’s vision and the phrase, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” My mother had a spirit that could see the beauty in a person. Most only look on the outside and then compare what they see with the standards the world has given them.

That was what I was doing. Today when you leave your house, carefully look at the first person whom you see and notice how beautiful they are. They may be balding, fat, wrinkled, pimply, or any of the other things the world frowns upon as beauty.

Look at them closely and look for the beauty. If you really look, you’ll see it.I didn’t believe that at first until I tried it. Sure enough, as I stared and opened another set of eyes,I was able to see the beauty in every person. No matter how rough or worn a person looked, each pain etched line held a glimpse of beauty.

You just had to look for the beauty. It’s there. When you leave your home this morning, look hard at each person. You will start to see the beauty of every human who you didn’t know existed. Trust me and try this. If you sincerely look, you will see it. When you get home after seeing the beauty in faces you see, look in the mirror. You are beautiful. Thank you mama for all of the beauty that youhave not only seen, but added. She used to tell me: “Be like a honey bee which always sits on beautiful flowers.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Indeed Allah is Beautiful and He loves beauty.” In other place He (SAW) says: “A believer is beautiful because Allah has given him beautiful characters.”

Holy Quran emphasizes on remembering the beautiful things Allah (SWT) has created and praise them profusely. “And as for the blessing of your Lord, do announce it.” (93:11)

Allah (SWT) Himself remembers and praises the good creations He has created; among them is His beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW): “And He exalted your praise (O Muhammad).” (94:4)

“Indeed Allah and His Angels are sending blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him (you as well) and salute him with a (becoming) salutation.” (33:56)

Moral : Dear readers, you are beautiful. May Allah’s beautiful blessings be upon you always.

Why do we read Qur’an

An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa wakeup early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Qur’an. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked,

“Grandpa! I try to read the Qur’an just like you but I don’t understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur’an do?” The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, “Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.”

The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, “You’ll have to move a little faster next time,” and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath,he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry water in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, “I don’t want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water. You’re just not trying hard enough,” and he went out the door to watch the boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak out before he got back to the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breathe, he said, “See Grandpa, it’s useless!” “So you think it is useless?”

The old man said, “Look at the basket.” The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different. It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out. “Son, that’s what happens when you read the Qur’an.

Moral : You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside and out. That is the work of Allah in our lives.”

Please note: The noble Qur’an is that noble and blessed book of Allah Ta’ala which He revealed for the guidance of mankind. The virtues of reciting the Qur’an are numerous, but this story was quoted in general to highlight one of the the benefit in terms of worldly life and encouragement. There is much more benefits and rewards (in this world & hereafter) in the recitation of the Holy Qur’an than can be imagined or perceived.

Don’t We All?

I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car. I had just come from the car wash and was waiting for my wife to get out of work.

Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would consider a bum.

From the looks of him, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no money. There are times when you feel generous but there are other times that you just don’t want to be bothered. This was one of those “don’t want to be bothered times.”

“I hope he doesn’t ask me for any money,” I thought. He didn’t.

He came and sat on the curb in front of the bus stop but he didn’t look like he could have enough money to even ride the bus. After a few minutes he spoke.

“That’s a very pretty car,” he said.

He was ragged but he had an air of dignity around him. His scraggly blond beard keep more than his face warm.

I said, “thanks,” and continued wiping off my car.

He sat there quietly as I worked. The expected plea for money never came.
As the silence between us widened something inside said, “ask him if he needs any help.” I was sure that he would say “yes” but I held true to the inner voice.

“Do you need any help?” I asked.

He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget.

We often look for wisdom in great men and women. We expect it from those of higher learning and accomplishments.

I expected nothing but an outstretched grimy hand. He spoke the three words that shook me.

“Don’t we all?” he said.

I was feeling high and mighty, successful and important, above a bum in the street, until those three words hit me like a twelve gauge shotgun. Don’t we all?

I needed help. Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I needed help. I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare, but enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day. Those three little words still ring true.

No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have accomplished, you need help too. No matter how little you have, no matter how loaded you are with problems, even without money or a place to sleep, you can give help.

Even if it’s just a compliment, you can give that. You never know when you may see someone that appears to have it all.

They are waiting on you to give them what they don’t have. A different perspective on life, a glimpse at something beautiful, a respite from daily chaos, that only you through a torn world can see.

Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets. Maybe he was more than that.

Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and wise, to minister to a soul too comfortable in themselves. And make him know that everyone needs help.

The three dolls

A sage presented a prince with a set of three small dolls. The prince was not amused.

"Am I a girl that you give me dolls?" he asked.

"This is a gift for a future king," said the man. "If you look carefully, you'll see a hole in the ear of each doll."

"So?"

The sage handed him a piece of string.

"Pass it through each doll," he said.

Intrigued, the prince picked up the first doll and put the string into the ear.

It came out from the other ear.

"This is one type of person," said the man. "Whatever you tell him, comes out from the other ear. He doesn't retain anything."

The prince put the string into the second doll. It came out from the mouth.

"This is the second type of person," said the man. "Whatever you tell him, he tells everybody else."

The prince picked up the third doll and repeated the process. The string did not reappear from anywhere else.

"This is the third type of person," said the man.

"Whatever you tell him is locked up within him. It never comes out."

"What is the best type of person?" asked the prince.

The man handed him a fourth doll, in answer.

When the prince put the string into the doll, it came out from the other ear.

"Do it again," said the sage. The prince repeated the process. This time the string came out from the mouth. When he put the string in a third time, it did not come out at all.

Moral :"This is the best type of person," said the sage. "To be trustworthy, a man must know when not to listen, when to remain silent and when to speak out."

I'm tempted to post my short story here, but I already posted it in another thread.

Job In Microsoft

A Jobless man applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at Microsoft. The HR manager interviewed him then watched him cleaning the floor as a test.

‘You are employed’ he said.

Give me your e-mail address and I’ll send you the application to fill in, as well as date when you may start.

The man replied ‘But I don’t have a computer, neither an email’.

‘I’m sorry’, said the HR manager. If you don’t have an email, that means you do not exist. And who doesn’t exist, cannot have the job.’

The man left with no hope at all. He didn’t know what to do, with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10Kg tomato crate.

He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital. He repeated the operation three times, and returned home with $60.

The man realized that he can survive by this way, and started to go every day earlier, and return late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

5 years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US …
He started to plan his family’s future, and decided to have a life insurance.

He called an insurance broker, and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded the broker asked him his email. The man replied, ‘I don’t have an email.’ The broker answered curiously, ‘You don’t have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an e mail?!!’ The man thought for a while and replied, ‘Yes, I’d be an office boy at Microsoft!’

Moral of the story

Moral 1
Internet is not the solution to your life.

Moral 2
If you don’t have Internet, and work hard, you can be a millionaire.

Moral 3
If you received this message by email,
you are closer to being a office boy/girl, than a millionaire.
