I noticed a lot of people viewed my post about hardship with divorce but no one really replied I can understand if anyone hasn't had a failed marriage but I was expecting someone to say a few words that might ease my pain.

i havnt been through a divorce, but i know a couple of people who have that maybe i could help you with...what exactly is the issue? =)

Sister, I pray that Allah (SWT) alleviates your pain.
Though I have never experienced a divorce, I have been in greatly painful situations. Often in such times I find it helps to be grateful and focus my energy on the countless blessings I take for granted.
Also, although it may seem like a very awkward suggestion, why not saviour your pain, be content with it. And one day InshAllah you'll be able to look back and say Allah (SWT) bought me through it. The best thing, I would think, you can do right now is put your trust in Allah (SWT), turn to Him (SWT), for His plan is better than ours, He is ever wise, most compassionate. InshAllah, stay steadfast, yes?

Thankyou to all who have replied to my post. It has only been a year since I have been married, I was married to a guy who didn't realy use his mind and was manipulated by his parents. My in laws wanted a lot of money in dowry and when they discoverd they couldn't get this they started to really emotionally abuse me so after a few months I left my in laws. I was so badly emotionally abused that it has affected me in many ways, sometimes I find it hard to believe that what has happened, but it is a test from ALLAH.
May Allah make it easy for you sis. Ameen. I am a divorcee myself but I initiated it, so it wasn't exactly a painful process for me. But please find peace in the rememberence of Allah and trust in Him to compensate you with something better, inshaAllah. It will get easier, inshaAllah. I'm here if you need to talk.

I don't understand, why were your in laws asking for dowry it should be the other way round

No sorry what i meant was that in my culture when a girl gets married parents either give her money a few thousand maybe or furniture, my parents decided to give me a lot of furniture. However my in laws weren't very happy with furniture etc they wanted money which they openly said to me. They made a lot of sarcastic remarks 'that money would have been better.' sorry brother didn't mean to confuse you.

I like your avatar and name mashAllah, I have requested a divorce myself as life with my husband is impossible now but he initiated it as he made no attempts to reconciliate or, persoanlly I would never have wanted a Divorce. I understand sis. No woman wants a divorce unless it gets to the point where her mental and physical health are at stake. I've been divorced for a few years now. And I'm very happy now. I've really grown as a person and continue to grow in ways I'd always wanted to but couldn't due to the unhappiness I was living in. So yeh, see it as a new beginning sis. Life is what you make it, and I'm sure you will decide to do something rewarding with yours and enjoy its pleasures inshaAllah.

Thankyou sister I totally agree with you, I love to read and spend time with my family, mashAllah I have a good suppporting family. I must say I have found a lot of peace coming to this forum, speaking to people like your self may Allah reward you..ameen. Currently I am a presenter at a islamic exhibition, we talk about the basics about islam to young children so I enjoy that very much. I would like to stay in touch with you inshaALLAH.

Brother it is not that easy to get married again, despite I do know a lot of people who have successfully married second time mashAllah even with kids may Allah keep them happy. In my case I have no children and I am young but when it will be Allah's will I will do, however it is about trust and finding the right person praying he will be pracitisng like my self. No brother you haven't offended me.

Sorry to hear that u faced such problem but good to know that InshaAllah it's over. Some people I know have very bad relationship with spouse and in-laws. Still they can't take any decision ...they are hanging between yes and no. It's painful to see how people are destroying peace of their mind & others by not taking a decision.
A lady refused to stay with her husband in the same room but did not leave him either ; taught only daughter to blackmail dad by saying that I will commit suicide if u divorce mom . Ultimately divorce took place but after long 18 years lol . Another lady also lives in parents home for long 2 years but not divorcing husbnad because she thinks it will hurt their only son. Husband also can't make up mind and living like a bachelor . Thus some people are facing horrible situations.
You are lucky that you have got a chance to start a new life. I know a girl who divorced her husband , later married another person and MashaAllah she is happy now & will be blessed with baby InshaAllah soon
So , sis , keep praying to Allah ; don't be sad . InshaAllah you will be blessed with a better life partner.

As for the exam, it went well hamdulillah but we had a setback because of something that happened. I am pondering whethering it will help anyone if I share it on the forum.
