So Whats The Meaning Of Mashallah?

Ill Ma shaa Allah..
Surah Al Ala:

Except what Allāh, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. (Al-A'la 87:7)

'Illā Mā Shā'a Allāhu 'Innahu Ya`lamu Al-Jahra Wa Mā Yakhfá

Illa, except Ma Sha Allah, Mashaa'Allah? What Allah wills

someone once said they have 5 siblings or something like that and a muslim lady replied oh mashallah (i think)

i dont understand this!

Im a bit slow at times could somone break it down for me?

Well its a way of saying praise and recognizing Allahs grandeur at the same time.... its like saying wow awesome accomplishmen (Allah Willed it so) so its a combo of recognizing Allah as greater than your status or achievement and also praising someone...

sure sis :)

responding with mashaAllah, means that we are expressing delight in the wonders of Allah. As far as I know it also protects someone's happiness from the evil eye inshaAllah. Hope that helped.

Insha'Allah= if G-D wills [wanting reinforcement, and support from Allah]
Masha'Allah= what G-D has willed ( also meant to denote Wonder and contentment, over what Allah has bestowed )

Mashallah = Allah has willed
Inshallah = if Allah wills it.

Example of Inshallah: I hope for the birth of a healthy baby, inshallah.
Example of Mashallah: *after having given birth* Mashallah, what a beautiful, healthy baby.
