Clad in green,
Camouflaged
Unseen.
To the outside world, yes.
But to me, not only ur dress
Is present b4 me .
Ur here everyday in my life
Denying me my rights
And wats already mine.

Ur bravery is but cowardice
As u oppress the old and beat the weak.
U fill my life with bullets and tanks
Guns and pain
But tell me soldier,
Just what do u gain?

From seeing me weep
For corpses in their dozens
Parents and brothers, sisters and cousins
None u left alive but me to strive
And suffer all on my own
Ur cruel laugh, ur merciless eyes
Show nothing but evil
But aint no surprise
Yes u killed them, but unlike u
In heaven to they reside

So go ahead, strut around in ur green
Because for the almighty, nothing u do is unseen
Make my life hell u do
But the hereafter is hell for u

My tears will be urs on the day ur judged
And given ur fill
And may god help u on that day
Because no living thing will

i wrote this about two yrs ago:-[ tell me what u think.

subhan Allaah! wow that waz powerful masha Allaah! i really liked it because it covered such a wide topic thats felt by alot of muslims, and you could express your anger without even using any harsh language..


i dont understand why poems like these dont get into the 'anthology' (high school books) we have in the uk. they proper deep, and have alot of emotion compared to the boring ones we study at school or college.

i was thinking of entering it for the poetry contest if i was too lazy to write a new one :-[ but now i cant! darnnn.

This is the kinda poems i enjoy,i like long poems but my fav is short and concise poems
its quite good...mashallah

I might not stick around here for long but Sis Muslimah421 might be doing the contests in future insha'Allah...She might do another poetry one so give it a shot next time insha'Allah ;p

im not much into writing macho stuff, but i like poems about reality, injustice and hope.

i shall try to find tym InshaAllah akhee, and ill post it up :)
