Normal speed - not too fast and not too slow. I like it moderate - if you've listened to Sh. Salah Budair of Madinah, that speed is awesome.

How Taraweeh should NOT be done: :skeleton:

Isn't this disrespectful in a way? I mean it's the book of Allah and look how they're just rushing through it like they can't wait to get out of there.

This is taraweah from my local masjid.

This is what Prophet SAWS called 'stealing your prayers...'

Last two years, the people who prayed behind me said I read like a bullet. This year Alhamdulillah they said I've started to go at a moderate place.

But I personally prefer speedy Taraweehs. Not to the point where you can't understand it, but as fast as you can go within the limit.

Seriously, you guys actually believe this is true?? Use your common sense, someone's probably fast forwarded it... No one in their right mind can pray like this... & come on all the musallis can't go into ruku3/sujood all at once... & am pretty sure there must be old men there too. :><:

I did it for the 1st time last week and enjoyed it. I just followed my sisters round me. I was tyed after and had 1 and 1/2 hour joruney home from the mosque so didnt get home till 1am. I loved it so much and went back the following night.

I have read at two mosques this year. At one there is a young Qari, who is from Libya and recites very slowly and beautifully. At the other mosq

What does the Quran instruct on recitation?

As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم):

Why don't we just follow what Allah and his Nabi (SAWS) instructs. Why the what I do verses what Allah instructs or his Nabi did?

Surah TA HA 20:114
FataAAala Allahu almaliku alhaqqu wala taAAjal bialqurani min qabli an yuqda ilayka wahyuhu waqul rabbi zidnee AAilman

114. Then High above all be Allâh, the True King. And be not in haste (O Muhammad SAW) with the Qur'ân before its revelation is completed to you, and say: "My Lord! Increase me in knowledge."
(Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan translation)
