STORY -- THE TELEVISION



A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write a essay about what they would like for them...

At the end of the day while marking the essays, she read one that made her very emotional. Her husband, that had just walked in saw her crying and asked her:- What happened?
...

She answered:- Read this. It's one of my students essays


Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special: Make me into a television.

I want to take its place. Live like the TV in my house.
Have my own special place, And have my family around ME. To be taken seriously when I talk... I want to be the centre of attention and be heard without interruptions or questions.
I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives when it is not working. Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is tired.
And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of ignoring me...
And... I want my brothers to fight to be with me...
I want to feel that family just leaves everything aside, every now and then, just to spend some time with me.
And last but not least make it that I can make them all happy and entertain them.

Lord I don't ask you for much. I just want to live like every TV.


At that moment the husband said:- 'My God, poor kid. What horrible parents!

She looked up at him and said:- 'That essay is our son's!!!



Makes you think doesn't it??

MAY ALLAH ENABLE US TO RE-CONSIDER OUR PRIORITIES.

lol used to do tht buh then we stopped using it n once my dad turned it on so it didnt work frm tht da onwards no one watches tv its just a box in the corner of the room... my dad watches his new on his lappy so no one got it fixed :)

If you want to freak some people out, get the screen painted so it looks like the TV is on, but there is no sound. ;D

That's all I use mine for. If I want to watch movies or TV, I can do that online. I use the TV for video games.

On the flip side, TV can be used as an instrument for much good. I have seen Muslims who previously were non-practising, and by watching Islamic channels and programmes on TV, have learned about their religion, taken an interest in it, learned how to give da'wah, made other people Muslims and become better Muslims themselves. It can be used nowadays as a modern medium of spreading the deen, and Islam does not discourage us from using technology.

Not only that, but you can learn much general knowledge on animals, nature, and what's going on in the world around us.

We need to use it wisely, and control what we watch and what children watch, and to make sure that it doesn't interfere in ibaadah, family life etc.

I don't watch TV. It steals away too much of my time. I would rather use my time with a hobby like gardening, sewing or playing basket ball.

Friend-2 : No! I have stopped watch TV since three years ago. Now I use internet everyday.
Ardianto : What you do in internet?
Friend-2 : Play online games, chatting with friends, watch music videos, and sometime .. ehm .. watch adult videos.

Exactly.

TV is bad. A computer with Internet access is worse. I think even Roald Dahl would have agreed.
 
After college, when I get a wife..etc... Then I probably will only watch tv for sports and thats it. By sports, I mean college football :p
