One of the sad facts of life. A website is expensive. In the past the Admins and a few generous members paid the bills. but, they have gotten high.The only choice the admins have is to sell ad space.
The ad up there is not for nasheeds, it is an ad for web hosting space. The Nasheed is a free CD for those who purchase web space for a web site.
Web costs are based on storage space used and bandwidth used. There are enough viewers of the site each day to exceed any low cost plans and the storage space required to hold all of the threads is unbelievable. Try to buy a 1000 GIG Hard drive for your PC and you will see that is not cheap. Now look at the number of Posts and other stuff and you will soon see that 1000 GIGs of storage has to be added very often.
Even the old deleted posts are taking up storage space as most of them are still kept on file in the event they are ever needed.
Nobody likes to have to sell advertising on their sites. The new owners were faced with a very difficult decision and they made the best choice possible.
Just my opinion and my mouthing off. I had a few of my own sites in the past, and I had to close them because I could not afford to keep them running.
I support the Admins decision and I am very glad they were able to keep control over who can buy ad space.
