Ok I get your point about Adam’s sin story but as for your exertion that you only get punished for your own sins, how do you explain the hadith that a baby who died as an infant who could potentially end up in Hell? And how do you also explain the hadith below? Is sin some kind of credit or commodity transfer and this is fair game?

It is already extensively explained to you that Adam as did not fall and his placement on Earth has nothing to do with eating from that apple.
Also explained to you how an infant without any sins can eventually end up in Hell.
Going to hell is not a matter of having sins or not...it is about having imaan or not...being a believer or not...
yes you will be punished for your sins in the Barzaq...the Barzaq can be one of the pits of hell...but Hell is eternal...Barzaq is not.

Abu Burda reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with as heavy sins as a mountain, and Allah would forgive them and He would place in their stead the Jews and the Christians. (As far as I think), Abu Raub said: I do not know as to who is in doubt. Abu Burda said: I narrated it to 'Umar b. 'Abd al-'Aziz, whereupon he said: Was it your father who narrated it to you from Allah's Apostle (ﷺ)? I said: Yes.

Thanks for the explanation & comparison of the story of the Adam & Eve in both the Quran & Bible. I noted that in verse 2: 30-39 and verse 7: 19-23, Iblis is still lurking in the Paradise taking his time lying & misguiding Adam. How come this is possible when in verse 38: 78 Iblis was already kicked out of paradise & exiled for not bowing to Adam. (Chapter 38 is earlier than chapter 2 & 7 by chronology). The story doesn’t tally.

He was only send away from the place where Adam as was created but not yet exiled from Paradise at that moment. whether that is the same location, we do not know. He got respite till the day of resurrection and had the chance to misguide Adam as. Do not try to twist and turn words. The story is perfectly OK...you do not tally.

“(And lo! My curse) My wrath and chastisement; it is also said that Allah banished him to the isles of the sea and, hence, he goes to the land only in the form of a thief, wearing tattered clothes, and scaring people (is on you till the Day of Judgement) until the Day of Reckoning.” Tafsir Ibn Abbas Quran 38:78

My point to Grandad was just that Muslims may be using the wrong term to describe the oneness of Allah. I did not dispute their belief in that. Since you quoted the above, I’ll talk about it. I think actually Allah only forbid humans to ascribe partners to Him but He does not forbid Himself from doing the same. So having partners is possible.

I do not understand how you can link the houris with partners to Allah...either way...stop doing that...Allah can do ANYTHING...He is Almighty...if He wants, He CAN create partners...he does not need Houri's for that...but just because He CAN does not mean that He WILL.
