Assalamu Alaikum

Epitome: prototype; a standard or typical example

Synecdoche: a term denoting a part of something is used to refer to the whole thing; Eg. A new set of wheels (wheels, which are a part of a car, denoting a car)

Fi aman Allah
w'salaam

'Honestly!' << the word can be used as an exclamation in almost any context, lol...

I also like the sound of the word 'eclectic' (something that combines elements from different sources is described as an eclectic mixture)....ohhh, and 'effervescence' (from chemistry, lol; it means fizzing, or giving off bubbles)

What a coincidence, I really like using those words (honestly and effervescence) as well!

AsSalamOAlaikum WaRehmatuAllah WaBarkatuhu

Quintessential: The perfect example of a quality/concept etcetra

For example....

Islam is quintessential of life

The Prophet (SalAllahu Alayhi WaSalam) is the quintessential of a role model.

FiAmaaniAllah

Despite harboring a negative meaning...I really dig the word "animosity" !!! Just the way it rolls off the tongue...

Has any one felt the sweetness in following words?
i.e. We instead of I
or Our instead on Mine?

'We' is my favorite!!

my fav word...
Supercalafragalisticexpialadocious :inlove:
i love that word so much lolz
but i think my neice likes it even more

:sl:

Sometimes one is overwhelmed by ambivalent feelings.

I like the word 'ambivalent' - in the sentence it refers to having conflicting/uncertain feelings.

I make words up does that count?
I don't think so, because the thread is supposed to help improve English.

my favorite word is the name Mohammed, I love it more than Ahmad or Mahmoud or Moustapha, it is the name of our beloved prophet and my beloved brother .. and generally makes me smile whenever I see it. and I love saying it with a ح it makes it that much more special. I always thought if ever I had kids, I'd name them all Mohammed provided they were all boys :D

Mohammed the I, the II etc.

I also like 7arb (war) and sakhr (stone).. though I wouldn't bestow them as names on anyone.. I just like them on their own accord...

In English, I often use 'bozos' and 'Hilarity' and I like using them both to describe idiots on the road as such 'the hilarity of those bozos' :raging::raging::raging:
'why don't you pick a lane you bozo'-- 'watch where you are going you bozo'
Bozo__the_clown_by_betocampos.jpg

they have grown on me since I use them almost daily now
