speaking of fish. Anyone tried eating blowfish?

I'm not too fond of seafood.
I've only ever had shrimp, fish, and octopus.

Yep they serve it here in Japan and its local name is fugu.

2 types;

1. From natural sources eg sea highly toxic and needs really skilled chefs

2. Farm grown less toxic and safer.


The chefs are all nationally trained and accredited and licensed yet every year still many people die from it.

Have had it a few times myself.

These are Orandas, Lion Head Gold fish. Sometimes called Cuddle Fish (not Cuttle Fish) by their owners.

silly that is not a fish. It is an axolotl, an aquatic salamander related to frogs. a couple others are the Mudpuppy,

siren

and amphiuma.

An interesting story about an amphiuma A non-English speaking friend of mine netted a huge one nearly a meter (3 FT) long in Lake Bistineau Louisiana. He showed it to me and asked me if I wanted it. I said I wanted it for my aquarium. He told me to come get it later that evening. I went back to his house, he was beaming with pride and had it all cooked in fried rice for me.
