The green colour in the Quran

Depends on the context.

Green is typically associated with life across most cultures because it coinsides with plants and spring.

But a color like red, can represent life (blood), anger/destruction (when you get mad you red), or dangerous/wild (if you have a red car you're insurance will charge you more).

Im not sure how you can say green is the most moderate colour as there's no way to measure that...

I personally hate green. Always reminds me of mucus :P.

eeerm according to some areas of science, black is not considered as colour, because it lacks any visible radiation (light), and is thought to absorb all teh colours of teh visible spectrum. So when there is no physical action then there can be no psychological effect attached to it. No stimulus, hence no response!!

Green (which is proven a colour) on the other hand, like stated above, can evoke a psychological effect.

Personally black to me feels like a state nothingness (even though i am mostly seen wearing black!! -irony-)
 
My fav color is green too! room walls r green, my msn text is green.. wow even my car is green!... ^o)

Revered is the colour green, which has been associated with Islam as a symbol of the religion itself. Green is the sacred colour of Islam, and is used for the bindings of the Qur’an (the Muslim Holy Book) and in the silken covers of the Sufi saints. It has been suggested that green is revered because it was worn by Muhammad, but it also symbolizes life and nature. When finally reaching paradise in the afterlife, the Qur’an states, “ornaments shall be given to them therein of bracelets of gold, and they shall wear green robes of fine silk and thick silk brocade interwoven with gold, (18:31)” and they will be “Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets (55:76).” In Islamic culture green and gold are the colors of paradise.

I love the colour green, especially green and white. Not bright lime green or blue green though, the shade of green that is just right in between, like this.

PS: For those with Xbox Live, my Halo 3 Spartan is green and white as well! I am Fishm4n.

would it be sunnah to wear green clothing? if our prophet did?

Hadith - Sahih Al-Bukhari 7.705, Narrated 'Aisha, r.a.
When Allah's Apostle died, he was covered with a Hibra Burd (green square decorated garment).

Hadith - Sunan of Abu Dawood, Narrated Abu Rimthah, r.a.
I went with my father to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and saw two green garments over him

I am not sure if one is allowed to wear green clothing or not but if i got this correct some people do wear the turban green.. im sure were following the footsteps of our prophet ad also green is the favourite colour of the Prophet..Also It has been suggested that green is revered because it was worn by Muhammad, but it also symbolizes life and nature. There's nothing wrong with wearing green, there is ikhtilaaf on wearing red though, and pink and them would fall in that same category (for males) but there's nothing wrong in wearing green.
