salaam everbody. ı m wondering that where does "allah" word come from? the name of the prophet mohammad's father was abdullah. it means that there was a belief of allah before islam was revealed. some say that allah is the biggest god in kaabah and al lat, uzza and mennan are his daughters.

on the other hand, what is the idol of Khubel in the kaabah? (beytullah)
why was the name of abdullah involved before islam?

Ellah is the hebrew word for God, and the Aramaic equivalent of it is Eloah, and since Arabic is a sister language of them two languages - Allah is the word for God in that language.

The word Ellah is used in the book of Ezra 4:24, and 7:26. These are Jewish, and even Christian sources.

They called their idols Al 'Uzzah from Allah's name Al Azeez [the Great], Manaat from Manaan and Al Laat from Allah.

Its likely that Prophet Ibrahim knew of these names of Allah through revelation, but the Quraysh distorted them afterwards and named their idols with them twisted in a feminine way.

Abdullah means 'slave of Allah'. The arabs knew that Allah is the Creator of the universe. So they would sometimes call their children Abdullah too. They argued that their idols were only 'intercessors' between themselves and Allah, and that Allah was the true giver of life and death.

This is proven when Allah says;

Is it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than Allah (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to Allah." Truly Allah will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But Allah guides not such as are false and ungrateful.

ok but before islam was revealed, what did the arabs around there belive in? how the belief of allah arrived that area wheras any religion was not revealed yet there.

abdullah: slave of allah. this means that before islam was revelaed, there was a belief of allah.in other owrds :al-ilah. the arabs there believed in allah before islam was revelaed. in christianity elohim, in jewish religin, yahova or yahveh etc.how did the belief of allah exist there although islam not revealed?

islam was there as revealed to Abaraham ... arabs are descendants of him and they had some remnants of islam of Abraham (as).
 
Ismail (as) had a son whose name is Haidar or Haidir... Through Ketuvi'im sources in Old Testament, Haidar or Haidir is known as Kedar. You can check in the shajara of prophet Muhammad (saw), the name Haidar too being recorded in it.

I know who Apple7 is, he is total fruit-loop. Apparently, he will try to teach classical arabic, in his mind he knows classical arabic when he shows deficiency in understanding in standard arabic. I think problem with him is that muslims try to show their arguments from the bible like against trinity, etc... he is trying to attempt the same with Quran. He do makes a fool out of himself, because he doesn't understand why muslims make unitarian arguments from Bible, why can't trintarians use Quran to make trintarin arguments. Any honest person who is familiar with Arabic, Ar-manic, Quran, and Bible; will not take him seriously. But the sad part is, he do appear to be serious and believe what he is saying.
