2 – Tawaaf around the House

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and We commanded Ibraaheem (Abraham) and Ismaa’eel (Ishmael) that they should purify My House (the Ka‘bah at Makkah) for those who are circumambulating it, or staying (I‘tikâf), or bowing or prostrating themselves (there, in prayer)”

[al-Baqarah 2:125]

This verse indicates that tawaaf around the Ka’bah was known at the time of Ibraaheem (peace be upon him).

Thank you ever so much for the reply, i really need to probe into this and look at all the evidences, what i am mostly intrested in answering is what the seven time signifies and if previous monotheististic communities did the same. I need to establish that the Jews practiced tawaf.
