The sad truth is..
Even if the ones who are not together love eachother. The moment they come together, after a week, they are going to be like those who don't love eachother but are together.-.
It is because they lack the blessings of Allah. AFAIK.
A believer is not sad, when he is not together with his wife, cause he has Allah. And neither is he ungrateful with his wife, cause he knows Allah has it all in control.
