Thank you Far7an for clearing that up for anyone confused.

I would say to my children: If you are to commit a sin then look for a place where everyone can bear witness of it, because there is a record kept whether witnessed or hidden and Allah loves the truthful.

... but thats me.

No problem brother. Your advice is good, as is the advice of Luqman (alayhissalaam). :)

#6 Is wrong by me because there is no place to hide a sin. None at all. Every action, every word, every thought, every heartbeat of history is perfectly recorded. We may be forgiven for sins but it is an illusion that they can ever be hidden.

ekhi, as muslims, we all know/should know this inshallah..As the saying of Luqman (ra) to his son states:

"When you want to commit a sin, look for a hiding place that is not being watched by Allah Ta'ala and His angels.."

ASSUMING that this is something engraved in all muslim's hearts at the time, so with common knowledge and belief they know there is not a place to commit a sin and hide it from Allah subhana wa ta'ala, it is emphasizing that no matter how hard u try to hide your sins from Him, you wont be able to, there is no such thing as a "hiding place" from Allah.

Barak Allah feek ekhi Farhan for your previous explanations

I was just wondering, isn't it sorta wrong to say that? because as muslims we are not to share our sins or display it for the public to see, for that will create more fitnah and technically, one sin can be witnessed by everyone in the whole world, fitnah spreads ekhi.

That is what I am addressing. Can you find a verse from the Qur'an that says to hide a sin? Is it not a Kafir that hides or denies the truth? If showing our sins to the public creates fitnah then showing our good deeds would prevent fitnah. If we share our sins and display it for the public to see, it brings punishment and forgiveness. I say, better to be punished here and Allah loves those who forgive. If instead we show our good deeds to the public, the compensation ends here. If I should hide my good deeds and my bad deeds from the public, what am I left to show?

I tell everyone, if you feel the need to sin then do it as if the whole world is watching you. Do it with as many witnesses as possible and confess it to everyone.

Agreed.

I disagree with you here, If one was to sin, they do not need the public to know of their sinning to have the guilt and repent to Allah. Each individual is different, and for some to sin infront of the public it could bring in arrogance more than humility.

Just because you sin, doesnt mean you're hiding your good deeds, and as far as I know, if you arent doing good deeds for the sake of Allah, even if the public doesnt know, you are sinning. Sometimes good deeds can also lead to arrogance or pride depending on what they are.

I tell everyone, if you feel the need to sin then do it as if the whole world is watching you. Do it with as many witnesses as possible and confess it to everyone.
You do not need to whole world to know if you have sinned or done a good deed, this is between you and Allah alone.
