Downtime?

Does the site go offline for about 15 hrs every week? Its happened twice for me in the last 2 weeks.
 
Account has been disabled?

I don't know if everyone is getting this but, for several days, I've noticed that when I come to islamicboard.com, it redirects me to a page that says account has been disabled. It looked like a yellow and blue page with nothing on it accept those words. Am I the only one seeing this?

A couple of times this week and a couple of times a few weeks ago, when I tried coming onto the main forum page, I was met with the following:

I got the same result if I tried to come onto the page on my phone.

Whatever links I tried, even certain threads or posts that I had saved on my favourites, I got the same result.

I have only just got in now after 24 hours of being blocked.

It looks like my account is suspended and my IP address is completely prevented from going onto the website at all (I'm not even talking about logging in, just visiting the forum to browse without logging in). This problem persists for hours, usually at least half a day, mostly only the next day am I able to get onto the forum. Now has been the longest period, 24 hours. I'm not sure what to make of this. If it's a technical error surely it would affect everyone, but when I finally do manage to get onto the forum, it seems as though the forum has been progressing fine without any disturbances.

I'm hoping that, if it's because of something I've said wrong in a post (or posts), that someone would kindly tell me, so that I can rectify it in future, as whatever it is, I seem to be making the same mistake again and again.

Whats with the " account suspended" message ?

For nearly a day , the account suspended error message was coming up .This happened a few days ago as well

Just wanted to know what's happening ? Is the board being hacked or is the server crashing ?

Yeah I got the same message too. But from different IPs, which probably means:
A) LI crashed
B) LI got an update.
C) Mumm-raa has returned

probably hacked.. they want to make Muslims miserable by whatever means.. if you are not a civilian in Afghanistan readily accepting that you'll be bombed in an 'oops' moment.. then they'll get you by some other means..

I got this message too! SubhaanAllah... I thought my university had blocked islam related websites, lol. Hopefully it won't happen again inshaAllah.

Please be assured, this problem of Account Being Suspended is reported by some of the staff as well. So there's nothing wrong your accounts, nor have you done any mistake.

LI was down for the past 24 hours or so. Please wait for Rashad to explain the cause. It was not his fault though. Someone tried to do some extra investigations. (It wasn't anyone from the staff)

lol, I felt exactly the same thing when I saw this thread title. Before, I was thinking "noooo...! I'll never be able to visit IB again!" You can imagine my relief when the website appeared as normal just a few minutes ago. :exhausted

Yea it happened to me too and several others. I thought my account got disabled cause of that marriage thread lol!

I'm like noOoOoOo what did I do wrong?? :X

Alhamdulillah though it wasn't me and just me :statisfie

I knew that it has something to do with maintenance or something done by the staff so there was nothing to be scared of.

I recently had a thread removed for a reason that made no sense to me. And then this "account disabled" thing made me wonder if I wasn't welcome here anymore.

If you don't like me, just tell me straight up okay?

Same thing happened to me twice... I was very sad but also annoyed "why didn't they at least give me a warning before disabling my account!" imsad I thought I had violated the rules or something. Later I tried getting to the website from different computers at home and school still didn't work :hmm:

Anyways, what a relief! :phew

I will be honest.............I was telling a sis on a msn that I was not worried about that down time kinda happy because it was a good chance to have a good break for a day :hiding:

Don't get me wrong though, I was sure that nothing bad happened to LI:hiding:

From what I was told, there were some billing issues that needed to be resolved.
