Things that are holding me back from reverting

:sl:

Thank you so much for all your support. Yes, I said the Shahaada. Now I need to just keep learning and learning and give it my best effort.

The most difficult part right now for me is learning salat. But with practice I think it will come.

Do you have a mosque anywhere reasonably close, or any Muslim brothers that you know? If so, that can be a source of tremendous support.

I saw you mentioned "Islam: Beliefs and Teachings" in another thread. That used to have salaat in it, along with the positions and transliterations, which may be of some help. It will take time and practice, as you rightly pointed out above. Just go at a slow steady pace, and inshaAllah things will become easier.

Regardless of the above, feel free to fire away with any questions/difficulties, and we'll do our best to help inshaAllah.

:sl: congratulations my brother. Allah guides who he wills and he has given you guidance so you should always be thankful to him and do whatever you can to please him. Take things slowly and do not feel you have to do eevrything at once. The fundamentals should always be done first so concentrate on learning Salaah first.

Here is a free PDF file for you to download and print out and it is everything you need to start building up your knowledge of Islam from the foundations. It contains everything you need to know to begin with and much more and is also very easy to read. It also includes easy steps to start learning how to pray Salah including translation and transliteration of everything one has to recite in Salaah:

Congratulations on coming back to Islam! All praise is for Allaah (swt) for having guided you to the light of truth. :)

There is always much to learn for everyone, but if you take small steps you won't feel overwhelmed Insha'Allaah.

May Allaah (swt) keep you firm and steadfast, Aameen!

Masha' Allaah. may Allaah ease your path to Paradise brother, and give you steadfastness. Aameen!
