Today ... the worst thing happened in LI..

One of the New joined member...(who joined just for posting bad stuff)..has posted HARAAM stuff...in a thread..

But there is no Mods available to block that thread....

and the thread is still active (loooong time)with bad contents...

...wat a worst situation is this :(

...

So please give permission to us (some reputed/previliged members)..

to block threads...from being viewed temporarily...

Please make note of this...and take a good decision..

to protect LI.
 
a simple you can't post links or vids until you have twenty posts or so will do, I am confounded really.. a new member can't have the avatar of their choosing or edit a post but can have a laundry list of porno posted?

Come on brothers and sisters.. this isn't the first nor the last time it is going to happen if you continue to grant these privileges to all new 'members'

I have seen alot of bad things as well ...new members coming and posting reallyyy bad things ..I agree with Sis Skye and also with Bro Abdul-Raouf..it is disgusting how these people do that but anyways I think someone needs to be put in charge when the MODs are away as it is hard for you to always be there

I am currently looking into what can be done regarding this problem. We have no intentions of giving limited members such privileges and I believe steps have already been taken in the past to prevent this.

Alhamdulillah, we have moderators from different parts of the world such that there is hardly a time when at least one of them is not online. The best thing to do is to report any such posts or PM a number of active Moderators who are likely to come on soon and Insha'Allaah the inappropriate material will be removed quickly.

This is a clean forum, Please Mods Don't let people see wha they shouldn't, this is disgusting.
 
Subhannallah i think there should be something to find innapropriate words and automatically delete them or add new mods--> for the mean while someone please delete this
 
^ there's no mods on right now, thats whats horrible. So its just gonna stay there Till they log on.

pretty much all the mods are in the UK, and right now in the UK they SHOULD be prayin the fajr, or sleeping.

Isn't there something we can do like make it automatic? Like what sis skye said, not able to be postin vids or images just like that, make it only be a link. OR get MORE american mods!
 
I at least i removed it from being seen with spamming

I'm so sorry you have to see that astaghfirullah. I am not able to delete it, I don't moderate that section unfortunately. Please just use the report button for the time being until another mod comes online inshaAllaah.

Its simple: Allow new members the privelidge of posting ONLY. Nothing else. Dont allow any posting of images, signatures, avatars etc etc...I dont see why they're allowed the use of image tags anyway.

Ummah forum has slight restrictions. Take the +ve's from it *cough*

Spamming time? When's that? lol note it down next time and we'll see what we can do. As if it's some fixed time. :rolleyes:
We have mods from different timezones, it's too rare when a Bluey/Red is not online.

like the moddies said they will inshallah look into it

the first time it happened it was dealt wit sweeeftly like superman deals with the enemies :D

but the 2nd time it happened was at 5.00 am UK time, and most mods i think are from the UK, and many of us do have lifes :D so bein online at 5am is a mission for any one, from anywhere, so you cant blame the mods that they aint online and that,

so lets all take a deep breath, sip a coke, enjoy your life and it will be sorted inshallah:D ooo yeaah
