Assalamualaikum

Same name?.

Imam Bukhari rh = Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail

Imam ibn Majah rh = Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Yazid

You are right. It's only a coincidence. Name of all these muhaddisin is 'Muhammad'.

Now it's your turn to ask the next question.

One dhuha time in Madinah, an aleem visited a masjid to see his student who was giving Islamic lecture at there. After listening secretly, that aleem wrote a message on masjid pillar "Whoever wants valueable knowledge, he should come to (his student name)".

After giving lecture, his student found that message. He recognized that message as his teacher writting. So he wrote a reply "How can it be like that, while he is your student, o (his teacher name)"

Question : Who are the teacher and the student in this story?

Edit : (Easier hint : madhab)

Was the student imam Shafi'i, and the teacher imam Malik? (may Allah be pleased with them and have mercy on them both).

You are correct. The student and the teacher were Imam Syafi'i and Imam Malik (Rahimakumullah). I found this story from biographies of madhab Imam.

Now your turn to give us question.

I was thinking the same too but wasn't sure as I've not read this incident in books.

Interesting question it was..!

Thanks bro.

Which Sahabi is famously referred to by his love of certain animals?

Yes, correct :ma:

The great Sahaabi Abu Hurayrah (literally “Father of the Kitten”) was so called because he used to love cats and keep them. He became well known by this name and people forgot his real name, until the scholars disputed concerning his real name and there were nearly thirty different opinions as to what it was. Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr said in al-Istee’aab: “The most correct view is that his name was ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Sakhr but none of them disputed that he was Abu Hurayrah.”
