The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, answered that it would be the edge of a whale’s liver. Having heard that, ‘Abdullaah ibn Salaam may Allaah be pleased with him embraced Islam. Maybe i got the terms zait (oil) and ziyaadat (excess) muddled up due to my familiarity with cod liver oil and the association between the press and oil and plenty.

(Although i haven't a clue why some interpreters chose "caudate lobe")
