Was it because there was some strands of the Prophet's hair inside the helmet which as i read before that Khalid bin Al Waleed said it gave him a better view of the battle ground.
its just some thing i thought i read ages ago, i dont know if its right. :-[

yes it was the hair of the prophet, he gathered them when the prophet shaved his head for hajj. the prophet asked him why he was collecting it to which he said it might help him. the prophet then made dua saying that it would make him victorious on the battlefield........ he then had the hair woven onto a red garment which he wore under his helmet.Tagrid said:

one of the main diff is that shias believe that Ali (ra) was the proposed prophet after Muhammed (saw), but people did not make him the prophet. Whereas sunnis believe that Muhammed (saw)was the last prophet.
another one is that shias believe that Qur;an consists of 40 parts, and the last 10 parts were revealed to Ali (ra). and sunis dont beliv it.

Sahabi when he died , the prophet sala Allahu alayhi wasalam , AbuBakir and Omar took him to his grave....Abdilahhi Bin Mas'uud said..."laytanii kunt saa7ib hadihii al-7ufrah) simple translation...i wish this was my grave....
the question is, who is that sahabi???
