We look for specialists for our real life problems, for our health issues or any other serious issue, but when it comes to Deeyn,we become scholars our selves. It will be better if we take a break and think. Its time to stop playing Islam,Islam.Let the scholars do their job

SubhanAllah!

Wise words...... hope everyone reads this post, and then reads it again.

I learnt this not so long ago, when I went looking for the ruling on women travelling with/without a mahram.
The last place one should turn to in these types of matters in Sheikh Google!

We tend to find what we are looking for - which in my case, lead me to an incorrect interpretation of this particular ruling.
Alhamdulillah, Allah sent someone to me, at just the right time, with just the right advise (as you have said above) - to make me realise otherwise.

Brothers and sisters,
Know where to find your Islam.

It lies with learned and sincere scholars - those Wallis of Allah who live their lives for their Rabb.

True knowledge is a precious gift......and it comes to those make the correct effort and with the correct intention when seeking it.

Meh everyone has their own opinions. If people don't agree with another, then just accept it and move on.

I don't mind otherwise garden variety opinions I just don't like factions and have been wondering if this is a shiite forum for the last few days..
Reminds me of a story my grandmother used to tell me when I was a kid to freak me out by..
A man went into those turkish baths in old cairo some time after midnight because he was working hard all day.. He did notice it was bustling with people and figured ok, it isn't so bad he won't be totally alone.. so he goes in does his business and doesn't stare at people until he towels and dries himself and all of a sudden notices that all those people are human on top and have these strange looking legs on the bottom.. and he's deeply disturbed by this, so he goes and sits by the fountain with a cup of tea (yeah back in the day you can get tea with your bath) and he strikes a conversation with the dude next to him.. and he goes do you notice something disturbing about everyone? and the other fellow goes no, what do you mean?
the guy guys I can't help but notice and maybe I am just drowsy from the hot water that they don't have normal looking legs... upon which the other guy goes as he brings his own legs to full view..
Do you mean like these?

so the guy of course went out screaming. .. and that is where she alleges the Egyptian adage 'laou kano ikhtasho kano mato' - meaning those who have shame die..
on the account the guy went out in the nude in lieu of dying with the bathing jinn...

:w:

Those scary jinn stories. I remember someone telling me one similar to this one, but the only think I really recall is that the Jinns had legs of a donkey. LOL! I wonder where these descriptions come from. ;D

My grandmother Allah yer7mha was one of a kind, if I told you she actually would tell the story over one of those old chamber lamps and would reenact the last portion of the tale by showing her legs and all of us kids screaming ;D.. of course it didn't help that her house was older than sin and you weren't sure half the time if you were talking to a cousin, neighbor or the usual odd creature..
God I miss those days ...

People will play games. Given a tool, they will use it, rightly or wrongly, for whatever reasons. Some just want reaction, regardless of whether it is good or not, and there will be those who will argue for the sake of it, especially with the anonimity. Some will just shoot off their mouths with whatever thoughts that comes to their head.

We meet all sorts and there will be all sorts and we won't get 100 per cent consensus on forums. We just have to bear in mind that these things exists and have to still be careful with what we read, say and believe. Nobody is forcing anybody here to do anything. Just some more forceful in their beliefs than others and have their way if expressing their opinions.

Whether I get likes or not is not the reason for my input, that just happens, my input is entirely dependent on whether I can contribute to a topic ir not. And I normally would 'like' good, fair comments that adds something else to my own line of thoughts and also to do with the effort they put in to address the topic. Generally, it has to pull at the heart strings....:shade:
