Tv, music and my part

Asslamoalikum,

Brothers and sisters i want to ask something related to television.
I want to ask that i don’t watch tv but my mother do I don’t listen to music but my brother on speakers unintentionally i am listening to it you know but intentionally i have no interest in such things ... we have only two rooms in our home one have tv and other is decorated with home theatre (5.1) so even if i am avoiding it ... it’s still there I can’t let my mother understand that to stop watching tv and brother to stop listening music like this .... so what is my part to do now ... how can i avoid these things even i am not the who is watching tv and playing music .... Am i still doing something like sinful?

If you're not actively participating in it, then there's no sin on you inshallah. Just try to encourage them to watch to and listen to beneficial things and continue to lead by example.

Use the home theatre for good clean audio, and use the tv for good clean audio visuals - duh
